This is a 3/4 scale fokker d v111 kit produced by airdrome airplanes. It as a 2706 hirth engine g50 gear box. Engine is running strong plane is complete has not flown only taxied. Still needs inspection for tail number. Has log book. Can provide video of plane running.

A full-scale static Fokker Dr.1 reproduction is available for sale. The listing states (in part):

With extensive research and skilled craftsmanship we have built an accurate Static Replica using original construction plans. Every bit of detail you would have found in an original, you’ll find in this example. We have constructed nearly every individual part, using the same materials and processes that were utilized in the original design, e.g. Linen cover, linden wooden wing ribs, replica of static engine made from cast aluminum: Oberursel Ur.II rotary engines with Wooden propeller Axial Berlin from Ash and Walnut. As a reference the replica was presented during “AERO Friedrichshafen 2017” exhibition and in “Polish Aviation Museum” in Krakow.

1918 Curtiss OX-5 Engine Offered For Sale

A 1918 Curtiss OX-5 engine has hit the market. The listing states (in part):

The engine is dismantled for inspection and loosely assembled to check completeness and photos. It is complete except for the two covers for the breather/oil filler trumpets. Berling magneto. Zenith carb. One lug broken on the base of one barrel. A bit missing from one exhaust guide. One gudgeon is a bit loose in one piston (fixeable by reaming and new pin). Pistons not scored and the rings a good fit in the grooves. White metal appears to be sound. All gears look to be in good condition. Some water pipe corrosion. Apart from the above mentioned items the engine looks serviceable. New crank ball-bearings. Advertised elsewhere. Collection only

Copper State Models to Release 1/32 Hansa Brandenburg D.I Kit

In addition to their recent Nieuport announcement, Copper State Models has revealed that they recently completed work on a 1/32 Hansa Brandenburg D.I model for future release.

The D.I was introduced in 1916 bearing a unique “star-strutter” configuration of interplane struts, a single Schwarzlose machine gun and an Austro-Daimler powerplant. Although some examples served through the remainder of the WW1, it was plagued with handling difficulties that earned it the nickname “the coffin.”

Microaces to Release New Nieuport 17 RC Model Kits

Microaces has announced the upcoming release of two new Nieuport 17 micro RC model aircraft kits representing machines flown by French aces Charles Nungesser and René Dorme.

The offerings are described as “beautifully balanced and agile,” with each boasting a 360mm (14.5″) wingspan, a spinning dummy rotary engine and “lots of little scale details that weigh little on the overall aircraft but add so much to it’s appeal at this scale.”

Copper State Models to Release 3 New 1/32 Nieuport Model Kits

Copper State Models has announced the upcoming release of three new Nieuport model kits in 1/32 scale.

The kits will represent the XXI (CSM32003), XXII (CSM32004) and XXII (RFC service / CSM32005), with each reportedly including four marking options and “new, accurate parts.”

This summer, Flyzone released a new Fokker D.VII ultra-micro RTF RC model.

The model is described as “fully factory-assembled with everything you need to fly right in the box,” while offering “flight performance that’s ideal for indoor areas like a gymnasium.”

The offering reportedly boasts lightweight construction; an optimized design with outstanding control using three channels and an installed ultra-micro power system which delivers “a wide speed range and impressive flight times.” It also includes a compact transmitter with glitch-free 2.4GHz technology and a convenient, built-in 1S LiPo flight battery charger.

The Flyzone D.VII wears the livery of Ernst Udet’s famous “Du doch nicht!!” machine and includes transmitter, 1S LiPo battery and (4) AA transmitter batteries.
