First Look: Test Molds For Modelsvit’s Upcoming 1/48 Bf 109 C-3

Modelsvit has released the first test shots of the molding process for their upcoming Messerschmitt Bf 109 C-3 in 1/48 scale.

Eduard Releases New 1/72 Spitfire HF Mk.VIII Model Kit

Eduard has released their new Spitfire HF Mk.VIII model kit in 1/72 scale.

The ProfiPACK edition kit (70129) reportedly includes Eduard plastic parts, Photoetched details and marking options for five aircraft, including JF476 of No. 92 Squadron, JF519 of No. 1 Squadron, JF404, No. 32 Squadron, JF630 of No. 81 Squadron, and 308th Fighter Squadron, 31st Fighter Group.

Watch the Stop Motion Assembly of a 1/16 Sopwith Camel [Video]

The latest stop motion video from modeler extraordinaire Tom Grigat features construction of Artesanía Latina’s Sopwith Camel structure model in 1/16 scale.

Grigat had previously constructed the company’s Fokker Dr.1 and noted that the Camel kit, which consists of approximately 750 pieces of metal and wood, is “not as easy to build.” Despite this, he states that the process is “well guided,” with the kit offering step-by-step instructions with video tutorials and more than 600 photos.

E-Flite Announces Upcoming 1.2m P-39 Airacobra RC Model

E-Flite has announced the upcoming release of a 1.2m P-39 Airacobra RC model in BNF and PNP versions.

The model is touted as offering “functional retractable landing gear and split flaps, plus a 3S and 4S compatible power system to deliver a unique warbird experience.” Additional features reportedly include “abundant scale detail” including panel lines, exhaust stacks and removable drop tank, 6–channel control with 7 factory-installed servos and linkages and factory-finished “Wahl Eye II” painted camo trim scheme with factory-applied decals.

The BNF version also offers “unmatched stability and precision” of AS3X technology for smoother flight performance and ease of flying with optional-use SAFE Select flight envelope protection.

Tamiya Releases New Tool Bf 109 G-6 Model Kit

Tamiya has released of a new tool Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 model kit in 1/72 scale.

The company states that the aircraft’s form has been recreated with aplomb, with features such as the distinctive “Beule” being captured in style. The kit (60790) reportedly includes optional drop tank parts, a cockpit with “excellent detail,” open or closed canopy options and two marking options representing JG51 (with distinctive eye marking on the Beule) and JG54.

Modelsvit Reveals Design For Upcoming P-51H Kit

Modelsvit has announced that the design process for their upcoming P-51H Mustang has been accomplished.

The company states that the 1/48 kit will include “2 cockpit’s clear parts (Open/Closed canopy), flaps could be adjusted in 2 possitions.” Additional details remain scarce, although a number of screenshots have been released, additional examples of which can be seen below.

A previous report indicated that the model would be released sometime in 2019.

Copper State’s New Handley Page O/400 Kit “On The Finish Line”

Copper State Models has announced that their upcoming Handley Page O/400 kit “is on the finish line.”

The company states that all the parts for the 1/48 resin kit are molded and cast and that masks are cut. They are currently waiting on the printing of the kit’s decals, which is estimated at three weeks.

The offering was prepared “in the best possible way” and reportedly includes more than 1.5kg of resin, more than 2m of wire to reinforce struts/wings, 63cm wingspan, 232 resin parts and 12 clear resin parts, 60 struts with reinforcing wire inside, 2 big sheets of masks (for Roundles) and decals printed by Cartograf, 4 marking options and instructions on a USB stick. Wingnut Wings Announces Upcoming Release of 1/32 Gotha G.I, UWD Kits

Wingnut Wings has announced the upcoming release of Gotha G.I and UWD kits in 1/32 scale.

The G.I kit reportedly contains Cartograf decals for five aircraft, 349 high quality injection molded plastic parts and nine photo-etched metal detail parts. Features include 150 hp Benz Bz.III engines, 20kg / 50kg Carbonit bombs, optional lMG 08, LMG 14 / 2cm Becker cannon armament, fine in scale rib tape detail and full rigging diagrams.

The representation of the UWD seaplane is said to boast Cartograf decals, 274 high quality injection molded plastic parts and four photo-etched metal detail parts. Features include 160 hp Daimler-Mercedes D.III engines, 10kg Carbonit bombs / LMG 14 Parabellum machine gun armament, fine in scale rib tape detail and full rigging diagrams.
