English Electric Lightning F.53 ZF580 has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

English Electric Lightning ZF580 is an ex-Royal Saudi Arabian Air Force Lightning F53. The aircraft saw active service with the RSAF before being retired in the late 1980s. ZF580 is currently finished in a high-gloss colour-scheme and markings representing Lightning F.6 XS935 ‘AK’ of 5 Sqn – this livery was applied during a full exterior refurbishment at the start of 2022 to provide durable weather protection for external display… The Rolls-Royce Avon engines have been removed, reducing the overall weight by 2.6 tons, but the jet-pipes and afterburner assemblies are installed, preserving the correct appearance of the aircraft. 1 each inert examples of Firestreak and Red Top missiles, the principle interception armament for the Lightning are included and are correctly mounted on the aircraft. Protective engine intake and jet-pipe cover-blanks are included. The cockpit has not been restored and needs to be refurbished. The correct Martin Baker Mk.4 ejection seat is installed, the side consols are mostly complete and more than half of the original cockpit instruments are installed or included for installation. An F-4 Phantom “cockpit section and tail fin” has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

Full cockpit section of ex RAF F4 Phantom FGR2, reg number XT907, professionally cut from the airframe and mounted onto a steel frame with wheels for easier moving. Cockpit section comes complete with ejector seats and most of the original instrumentation in place in both pilot and navigator seating positions. Also included is the full tail fin from the aircraft, displaying 74 squadron markings, which was the last RAF squadron to operate the Phantom. I have also acquired over the years a collection of most of the other instruments which would be needed to complete the cockpit, which could be negotiated separately to the sale of the cockpit section. Original tech log included, which shows some of the history of the aircraft… The cockpit section is in “original condition” and has not been touched or altered since it was decommissioned by the RAF. As such there would be some work required in order to bring it back to a fully restored “pristine” state. Nothing structural needs doing as the aircraft is completely sound, but it would benefit from an external repaint and cleaning and/or refurbishment of the cockpit interior.

The section is located in Hinckley, Leics, UK and is currently available for £23,000. Click here to check out the listing on eBay.

A 1946 Stinson 108-1 has been spotted for sale. The listing states:

Classic 1946 Stinson 108-1. Log books and hour meter indicate 1750 hrs. Aircraft was disassembled for paint then sold to me in Ohio. I towed it to Virginia and my hanger arrangement fell through. It’s complete except for the windshield including nuts and bolts. It’s really a great airplane and I wish I had the skill set to assemble it in my yard but without the mechanics and hanger (and airport) the project is beyond me. I can potentially deliver. Good luck. PS, I PAID 7200$ IN A hotly contested “GovDeals” auction so it definitely has some value

The aircraft is located in Reedville, Virginia and is currently available for bidding. Click here to check out the listing on eBay.
