Up for auction an Airdrome Aeroplanes Fokker DVIII kit build. very well built, Great paint job, instrument panel, electric start , Hirth 2 cylinder / 2 stroke engine 53hp , Hirth fuel injection system, g50 gear reduction. Wings are removed for storage but mount quickly. Lot’s of skill, time and effort went into this build. Proven 20 years plus design with many flying examples. The DVIII kit alone without engine, instruments,prop,etc. cost $5995.00 plus shipping. The plane has been taxi’ed and some runs but not flown or registered. Low starting bid of $999.00.

1980 Reproduction by Vernon Olmert, Originally built for “High Road to China” One of six aircraft built in 1980 with steel tube fuselage and Ranger engines. This aircraft is N47HC serial number 4 issued an experimental airworhiness certificate 6-20 -80. This aircraft is professionally constructed and covered in Ceconite fabric with buterate dope finish. This is a high quality WW-1 aircraft that seats two people and has a dependable power plant. Interesting trades welcomed.

Copper State’s New Handley Page O/400 Kit “On The Finish Line”

Copper State Models has announced that their upcoming Handley Page O/400 kit “is on the finish line.”

The company states that all the parts for the 1/48 resin kit are molded and cast and that masks are cut. They are currently waiting on the printing of the kit’s decals, which is estimated at three weeks.

The offering was prepared “in the best possible way” and reportedly includes more than 1.5kg of resin, more than 2m of wire to reinforce struts/wings, 63cm wingspan, 232 resin parts and 12 clear resin parts, 60 struts with reinforcing wire inside, 2 big sheets of masks (for Roundles) and decals printed by Cartograf, 4 marking options and instructions on a USB stick. Wingnut Wings Announces Upcoming Release of 1/32 Gotha G.I, UWD Kits

Wingnut Wings has announced the upcoming release of Gotha G.I and UWD kits in 1/32 scale.

The G.I kit reportedly contains Cartograf decals for five aircraft, 349 high quality injection molded plastic parts and nine photo-etched metal detail parts. Features include 150 hp Benz Bz.III engines, 20kg / 50kg Carbonit bombs, optional lMG 08, LMG 14 / 2cm Becker cannon armament, fine in scale rib tape detail and full rigging diagrams.

The representation of the UWD seaplane is said to boast Cartograf decals, 274 high quality injection molded plastic parts and four photo-etched metal detail parts. Features include 160 hp Daimler-Mercedes D.III engines, 10kg Carbonit bombs / LMG 14 Parabellum machine gun armament, fine in scale rib tape detail and full rigging diagrams.

Hangar 9 Releases New 1/4 Fokker D.VII RC Model

Hangar 9 has announced the release of it new 1/4 Fokker D.VII RC model.

The 87″ 30-60cc almost-ready-to-fly model (HAN2890) is described as “an accurate giant scale reproduction of Germany’s famed fighter even the most discerning modeler will appreciate.” It reportedly features lightweight, laser-cut balsa and plywood construction, two-piece lower wing panels and three-piece upper wing for easy transport and assembly, a detailed cockpit with a scale pilot and instrument details, scale engine and machine guns for authentic appearance, 8″ vintage scale wheels, shock-absorbing main landing gear and a sprung wooden tail skid.

The model is designed to accept a variety of 30cc to 60cc 2- or 4-stroke gas engines, or a brushless electric outrunner motor, and is said to include all hardware for the recommended power system options.

TVAL Offers Additional WW1 Aircraft, Rotary Engines For Sale

New Zealand-based aircraft manufacturer The Vintage Aviator, Ltd. has expanded its list of machines for sale, with offerings now including four WW1 aircraft reproductions and two rotary engine types.

In addition to the Hispano-Suiza-powered SE.5a and Le Rhone-powered Sopwith Pup listed in November, TVAL is now offering RAF1a-powered BE.2e G-CJZP, which has amassed a total time of 42 hours, and Bentley B.R.2-powered Sopwith Snipe G-CKBB (pictured above) which represents F2367 of 70 Squadron.

TVAL has also expanded their inventory to include powerplants, and is currently offering a limited number of reproduction 110 hp Le Rhone and 230 hp Bentley B.R.2 rotary engines.

Warner, all aluminum cowing, brakes, tail wheel and tail skid, Spandau machine guns, starter, satin finish Poly Fiber Aerothane, interior placards in German, rudder bar, control stick with blip switch and machine gun levers. Eight years building. 400 pictures available. Beautiful flying airplane; electric start; aerobatic box spars.
