ICM Releases New B-26C-50 Invader Model Kit

ICM has released their new B-26C-50 model kit in 1/48 scale.

As previously reported, the kit (48284) reportedly includes highly detailed engines, armament and cockpit interior as well as marking options for three aircraft.

The machine is currently registered with FAA and has reportedly been X-Rayed and found to be “in excellent restorable condition.”

The machine includes an installed Allison J-35 engine (without logbooks) and “numerous spare and new parts collected over 10 years.” The project is currently being offered for $129,000 or will package with two F9F Panther projects for $239,00 (or near offer). “Damaged, Cheap” T-28 Trojan Remains Offered For Sale

The “damaged, cheap” remains of a T-28B Trojan have hit the market.

The listing states that the machine suffered an in-flight fire which resulted in a gear-up emergency landing from which the pilot escaped.

According to the listing, the “forward cabin and center section mostly burned away” although it “retains lots of components that may be helpful to a T-28 restorer or repair facility.” Despite this, it is “best destined as a display, set dressing or a prop.”

Two Grumman F9F Panther Projects “Suitable for Restoration to Fly” Offered For Sale

Two Grumman F9F Panther projects touted as “suitable for restoration to fly” have hit the market.

A rare opportunity to obtain rare historical and classic jets for a fraction of their restored value. Simple cable controlled and with basic systems, these aircraft will be basic restoration projects without the need for any costly rebuilding. Just rebuild systems and reassemble. Currently no Panthers are flying or under restoration to fly. Exclusive opportunities and airshows certainly await.

The projects consist of an F9F-4 (sitting on landing gear – no known corrosion), and an F9F-5. Two Pratt & Whitney J-48-P-6 Turbojet engines (7,000 lbs thrust) are also stored in cans with test cell logbooks. The current owner has reportedly acquired many spare and NOS Grumman Panther parts for use in the restoration of these two aircraft.

An auction is reportedly set to take place at at Western PA Warbirds Museum in Mercer, Pennsylvania which includes “historic and replica aircraft, instruments and parts.” Available items reportedly include:

Beech 18, Ercoupe 415C, 1939 Taylorcraft (Project), Phantom F-4 Cockpit, Stinson Ambulance Model L-5 fuselage, F-86H fuselage, 2 Hawker Hunter fuselages, 7/8’s scale partial or fully built WWI ultralights– SE-5A, Nieuport 11, Fokker D-8, Spad 13, Nieuport 17. Hundreds of F-86 parts.

ADS-B Out-Equipped CC&F Harvard Mk IV Offered For Sale

1951 CC&F Harvard Mk IV (N287AM / S/N 20218) “Screamin Demon” has been relisted for sale with a reduced price.

The airframe reportedly has 2505 Hrs TTSNEW, while the P&W 1340 engine has 573 Hours SMOH by Aero Engines (1995) and 5 hours since extensive IRAN by Tulsa Aircraft including new cam and main bearings. According to the listing, the machine features an avionics package as well as a range of equipment including Redline brakes, Wing skid guards, Hooker harness, custom seat cushions, gear doors, wheel gap seals, tinted top canopy glass, chrome spinner and engine dress up kit with chrome harness and polished push rod tubes.

The annual inspection was reportedly completed October 2019 by Tab-Air. The aircraft is also touted as offering current Transponder VFR inspection and just completed attach angle AD.

Only Civilian FAA Approved C-130A in the World Offered For Sale

1958 Lockheed C-130A “Hercules” S/N 3212 (N131EC), described as “the only civilian FAA approved C-130A in the world” is available for sale.

The airframe reportedly has 11,615 TTSN, 2,324 hrs since Lockheed anti-deterioration service check, 751 hrs since last “D” check and 9,362 landings since new. The four Allison T-56A-11 engines have 225 SOH (10 SHSI), 775 SOH (10 SHSI), 470 SOH (10 SHSI) and 1150 SOH (10 SHSI). Additional features include:

Cargo system: Complete LAPES roller system, the only one in the world in civilian hands. Troop seats: Complete set of troop seats (96) including complete set of stanchions for litters. Air Drop Capability: All components for paratroop operations.

ICM to Release New 1/48 B-26С-50 Invader Model Kit

ICM is continuing their line of Invader model kits with an upcoming B-26С-50 model kit in 1/48 scale.

The new offering (48284) reportedly includes highly detailed engines, armament and cockpit interior as well as marking options for three aircraft.

Additional details are scarce, although the new kit is slated for release in June. A number of renderings have also been released, additional examples of which can be seen below.
