A 1946 Globe Ultra Swift has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

220 hp Franklin, canopy, sticks, many mods, gorgeous, cheap!!… Serial number 1115; 2 wing fuel tanks of 13 gallons each installed in addition to the factory 26 gallons, for 52 gallons onboard!!; Jack Nagel sliding canopy; dual control stick conversion!; gross weight increase to 1970 lbs; 1 piece bubble windshield; 150 seats; P51 style gear doors; Scott 3200 tailwheel; wing slot closure; Cleveland wheels and brakes; Whelen strobes; Prestolite hydraulic pump; blade pitot tube; electric pitch trim; shoulder harnesses; battery relocation; Cessna airscoops for cabin ventilation; left hand throttle assembly, works in tandem with central throttle!; airframe logbooks from 1977 (lost before)to 2023; last annual still current until 3/1/2024; total airframe time 2052 snew; engine logs from 1975 to 2023; 29 since major overhaul in late 2016… the airplane had a very complete refurbishment in 2007, then a host of upgrades and the engine overhaul by the new owner in 2016.

1946 Globe Swift “Outstanding Project” Offered For Sale

An “outstanding” 1946 Globe Swift project has hit the market. The listing states (in part):

It is complete except for the prop and Avionics/instruments. All sheet metal is in excellent shape with lots of it new!!… You will not find a better project to complete your dream of building and owning a Super Swift!! S/N 43. Converted to a “B” model in 1967. 917 hours total time on airframe. Have all logs, books, receipts, STCs, manuals, etc… Engine is a Continental C-125-2F. 318hours TTSN. 77hrs since last overhaul in 1981. Last run in ‘83. In dry storage since Complete firewall forward including fiberglass cowling. This was a flying airplane when the previous owner took it home for restoration. It needs someone to finish it up and bring it back to life!

1946 Globe Swift GC-B1 N3318K (S/N 1311) has hit the market. The listing states (in part):

Airframe TT: 2767.51, Engine 320.73 SMOH. Continental O-300-A. Aluminum exterior with red trim. Gray fabric interior. Complete log books, paperwork, and manuals going back to 1946. Last annual/last flown in 2008. In hangar since then. Belonged to my grandfather, a retired US Navy Commander, meticulous pilot and A&P.
