A Lockheed T-33A project has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

for sale a 1954 Lockheed T-33A Project airplane. It is not flyable and is being sold for parts or static display. It does include all the parts for a flyable plane with an extra engine. This plane should be in a museum or parted out. Many saleable parts.
There are no guns, arms or powered seats with this plane. Ebay doesn’t like military planes listed. It is just a museum piece or an assortment of parts. Below is information on the history of the plane and information on the parts: 1954 Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star. Registered as Lockheed/Keasler LT-33 N330TR. License as Experimental NOT Experimental/Exhibition. This is a restoration project. It is 80% completed and have 105% of the parts. Many extra parts and a second engine. All work has been done by an award winning aircraft builder that was a T-33 instructor with 650 hours in the T-33. All restoration work beautifully done with 20% remaining. This plane is truly a piece of history that needs to be preserved. Sale includes all parts and support equipment… Details: Engine J-33-35 “0” time SHS, Wing NAS Pensacola “0” time, Landing gear rebuilt new bushing, seals etc. Horizontal Stab NOS “0” time. Rudder-rebuilt. Elevator-rebuilt. Dive Brake-rebuilt. Brakes-New Calipers-rest rebuilt. Aileron boost-rebuilt. A/C Cycle Machine-rebuilt (new). Wired for 6 dry 12V batteries.

A T-33 cockpit section has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

1950’s era Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star cockpit fuselage section with both seats and canopy. Dashes are present with 10 gauges still mounted. Sticks are missing their grips, and there is a 6″ tear in the metal on left side below rear seat. This is a great project for a static display… Fuselage section measures 20′ 6″ in length, 5′ 6″ in width, 5′ 9″ in height with an approximate weight of 2500 .lbs and can be transported by a rollback wrecker.

Lockheed T-33A N514RH has hit the market. The airframe reportedly has 248 hrs since restoration by Roy Halladay, while the Allison J-33-A-35 engine has 148 hrs SMOH by Aero Turbine (37 hrs since hot section – by Aero Turbine).

Italeri Releases T-33A Shooting Star Model Kit With Seven Liveries

Italeri has released a lockheed T-33A Shooting Star model kit in 1/72 scale.

The kit (1444) is described as a version of the Platz T-33 released in 2012 with new decals. A total of seven liveries are offered representing machines in American (2), Italian, German, French, Spanish, and Greek-Hellenic service.

Canadair T-33 With “Avionics Upgrade and Overhaul, Spare Engine” For Sale

Canadair T-33 N467AV (S/N 467) has hit the market. The airframe reportedly has 11405 hours TTSNEW (Time since A.U.P. Upgrade: 606 Hours), while the Rolls Royce Canada Ltd. NENE 10 engine has 850 Hrs SMOH (1800 TBO /mini hot-section completed by Victoria Air Maintenance, 2009).

The AUP project (1996-1999) made the most significant change to the avionics and electronic capabilities for the CT-133 (by Kelowna Flightcraft). This particular T-33s is an AUP aircraft and reportedly incorporates an AN/RC-511(V)- VHF Radio System; Dual AN/AIC-505- Intercommunications System; AN/ARN-147(V)- VOR/ILS System; AN/ARN-149- ADF System; Navigation Switching Unit; AN/APN-194(V)- Radar Altimeter; Dual Annunciator Panels; Dual ADI 350S; Solid State Invertors; Canopy Yoke; AN/ARC-UHF System; Stormscope; 2 Collins TDR-90 Transponders; Dual SSD-120 Encoders; ACK-451 406 ELT. The interior was “completely redone” at AUP with “new panels, placards and detailing.”

A spare NENE 10 engine is also included. The machine is located in Reno, Nevada and is currently being offered for $210,000. Click here and here to check out complete listings.
