This classic aircraft has been refurbished and upgraded, presenting as a very clean, reliable, and fun-to-fly airplane. The aircraft has been kept in the dry Southern California climate and is very clean with no known corrosion issues, with all logs since new. Airframe total time is 1,520 hours. It is powered by a newly overhauled Continental O-200 engine with only 18 hours since major overhaul, along with an overhauled propeller. Upgrades and features include a modern metal instrument panel, new radio, ADS-B equipment, upgraded Cleveland Aircraft disc brake system, new paint, new interior, new windows, and rebuilt landing gear. Always hangared in the dry Southern California climate. Empty weight is 950 lbs and gross weight is 1,400 lbs. 1946 Ercoupe 415-C Project For Sale: “Complete Airframe”

A 1946 Ercoupe 415-C complete airframe project has been spotted for sale.

The airframe (about 3,321 hours total time) has a polished fuselage and tail, silver polyfiber wings, red accents, updated panel and interior, modern breakers, two-place intercom, rudder pedals installed, and complete logs back to the original 1946 airworthiness signoff. It is being sold without engine, prop, avionics, or EFIS. The machine has hard-landing damage including wrinkling around the main gear attach points and a slightly twisted and pushed-forward nose gear with some bent engine-mount tubes. The firewall, cowling, wing panels, ailerons, doors, and windows are reported undamaged. It remains in annual until September 2026 and includes airworthiness certificate, bill of sale, paperwork, keys, airbox and exhaust for your engine (with a suggested upgrade to an O-200).

Ercoupe Fuselage. 1948 Ercoupe 415E N94791, S/N 4902. TTAF 2,884.7. Abandon project. No corrosion noted anywhere. Center section rebuilt with new lower skin and inspection panel kit for AD compliance. Looks like some of the fuselage skins may have been changed also. Very clean and straight. Ready to start assembling. Logs are available. This airplane has been de-registered.

1946 Ercoupe 415c, 2440 TT, 467 SMOH, light sport, little damage, very cute, cheap… this Ercoupe was owned and flown by flying club at a small field with a hard surface runway in southern Iowa… this aircraft has been well maintained by the club! The engine was overhauled in 2001… it has Slick mags, a 60 amp alternator conversion, electric start and other upgrades as well! The aircraft also has Cleveland wheels and brakes. Last annual was performed 3/5/24, so it has just expired… There is a slight wrinkle on the skin rear attachment point for the right wing, on the “center section” that goes from side to side under the fuselage.

1946 ERCOUPE 415-C; C/N 3034; 3900 AFTT; Annual inspection 06/15/2023… Structural sound wings and airframe with some minimal hail damage noted on wing step up and aft of the canopy aluminum section. Wings and controls look clean with no discrepancies on skin. Clean low time engine and propeller. Aircraft was pushed back by aircraft in windstorm. Paint transfer marks on the outboard left wing and two dings on the leading edge next to the light as seen in pictures. Could be easy leading edge repair or ferry fly home.

Very basic project has been sitting in a strawberry patch till recently. Was disassembled years ago with the intent of refurbishing and was not completed obviously. Everything is there tail, wings, prop, cowling engine, instruments. Needs a lot of TLC. Majority of the paint is stripped. Does have some light light surface corrosion. Glass needs replaced. This aircraft has not been modified to have rudder pedals. There is an electrical system but no radios. Very stock aircraft. has complete logs. Excellent project for some one with the time and energy. Engine has 463 hours since it was overhauled a long time ago. Airframe has less than 2000 hours total time same as the propeller. Engine is a C75 continental.

1947 Ercoupe 415-CD airframe, light sport, 2054 TT SNEW, very light scattered damage, polished, super cute, cheap!… This airplane suffered damage while tied down during a windstorm. The tiedowns held, so the airplane didn’t fly away, but the tail hit the pavement… the C-75 engine was properly unbolted and is not included in this listing… sold with logbooks for the airframe since brand new in April of 1947, plus loads of supporting receipts and paperwork, numerous pilot reports and Ercoupe articles from magazines, etc.

This low time aircraft has been lovingly maintained by the owner since his purchase of it in 2000… This aircraft has been kept as close to original as possible, with only the required updates to make it functional in the modern world. The C-75 in this airplane has 1,368 hours since major overhaul, but only 149 hours since the installation of 4 brnd new cylinders (top overhaul). As you would expect, the compressions at the last annual, performed 6/1 2021 were fantastic at 78/80 across the board!
