Flight Replicas to Release B-24 Liberator for FSX, P3D

Flight simulation developer Flight Replicas has shared an update on their upcoming B-24J Liberator, which will reportedly be “for all versions of FSX and P3D.”

The update states that the aircraft is coming along well with the external model nearing completion and the creation of the virtual cockpit to follow. In addition to the J version, D and H models will reportedly also be available, as will the C-87 cargo/passenger prototype.

The machine seen in the newly released images represents 44-40120, which operated with 492 BG/859 BS (where it completed its first 25 missions) and later 467 BG/ 788 BS (to complete 83 missions).

Aeroplane Heaven Releases Major Update on Upcoming C-47 / DC-3

Aeroplane Heaven has published a major update on their upcoming C-47/DC-3 for P3DV4.4+.

According to the announcement, the offering will include exterior models for the C-47 Skytrain (with droppable paratroops) and DC-3 (P&W engines, left passenger door; DC-3 P&W engines, cargo/passenger doors; Wright Cyclone engines, right passenger door). Aeroplane Heaven Shares Update on Upcoming C-47 for P3DV4.4+

Flight simulation developer Aeroplane Heaven has shared an update on their upcoming Douglas C-47 for P3DV4.4+.

As previously reported, the product is touted as “the most detailed, Hi-Definition models of this aeroplane ever produced” and will focus on the historic C-47 “That’s all Brother,” which led the armada of Skytrains across the English Channel to Normandy on June 6, 1944 (C-47 Military and DC3 Dakota civilian versions with a wide choice of liveries will reportedly be included).

The new update provides a selection of WIP screenshots, including the re-built P&W “Twin-Wasps” in their cowlings and extended tropical filters. The team also notes that flight testing has begun, with tweaking underway on PBR effects inside and out.

Under Development for P3DV4.4+: “Most Detailed, Hi-Definition” C-47 Ever

On June 6, the 75th anniversary of D-Day, flight simulation developer Aeroplane Heaven announced an upcoming Douglas C-47 for P3DV4.4+ which will focus on “That’s all Brother” – the C-47 that led the armada of Skytrains across the English Channel to Normandy on June 6, 1944.

Microsoft Announces Revival of Flight Simulator, Releases Trailer [Video]

In an exciting development, Microsoft has announced the revival of their Flight Simulator with a new trailer that gives us a glimpse of “the next generation of one of the most beloved simulation franchises.”

Beyond what the video offers, details are currently scarce. However, the new incarnation is described as offering highly detailed and stunning aircraft ranging from light planes to wide-body jets which operate in “an incredibly realistic world.” Flight plans and flying will reportedly be available anywhere on the planet with a focus on “the authenticity of flying and visually stunning environments.”

By revamping our tech, working in close collaboration with the community and pursuing the best partnerships across the industry, we intend to deliver the best-in-class flight simulation experience.

The release will reportedly be available for “Windows 10 with Xbox Game Pass in 2020, and coming to Xbox One at a later date.” Click below to check out the new trailer.

A “very rare” Eurofighter Typhoon training cockpit has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

Here we have a very rare example of a Eurofighter Typhoon Jet Training Cockpit. The item is used and has some general bumps and scrapes as you would expect, nothing too major. As you can see from the pictures the cockpit is in an unpopulated condition (no instruments) but does have the major cabling, pneumatic pipework, inverters etc all missing parts and instruments can easily be purchased including the HOTAS, Facsimile Ejection seats, glare sheilds etc

New Views of Aeroplane Heaven’s Heinkel He 111 as Release Draws Near

In a recent update, flight simulation developer Aeroplane Heaven states that their Heinkel He 111 P2 is nearing release.

As previously reported, the aircraft is being developed for FSX/SE, P3DV3+ and P3DV4+ and is said to offer a high fidelity model with “an enormous amount of authentic detail.” Additional features reportedly include a fully animated complex control systems for rudder, aileron and elevator, “secret” modern navigation suite fitted to the cockpit for IFR navigation, highly realistic, animated pilot, bomb-aimer and mid/upper gunner, detailed Daimler Benz V12 engine under removable nacelle panels and authentic stereo sound pack with the signature “out of sync” engine throb at full throttle. “Complete and Fully-Functional” 1:1 Scale 747-400 Flight Deck Simulator For Sale

A “full-scale fixed-based” 747-400 flight simulator has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

The simulator is two years old and all components are in perfect condition. This is NOT your standard home cockpit, and comes with all the bells and whistles… Purchased new, this simulator, the computers and software which run it, and the high definition visual system would cost close to $200,000 USD. Please note that this is a full 1:1 scale Boeing 747-400 replica flightdeck with a 200 degree FOV wraparound visual screen and, as such, a ceiling height of at least 8ft as well as a (minimum) 17x15ft space would be required to fit the simulator.

Flight Replicas Provides Update on Upcoming Bf 109 G-6, HA-1112

Flight Replicas has shared an update on their upcoming Rolls Royce-powered HA-1112 Buchon for FSX and P3D.

The developer states that the project is taking “a little longer to complete” as it was decided to do the original Spanish Ejército del Aire version of the aircraft, which are nearing completion. The more modern examples of the aircraft are reportedly “ready for delivery.”

As previously reported, Flight Replicas is also developing a Bf 109 G-6, the “basic” mid-production version of which is now complete. According to the update “the only items remaining are to bring the other versions (eg. early and late production, etc.) up to the same standard.”

If all goes well, release of the new machines “shouldn’t be too long now.”

Aeroplane Heaven Announces Development of Spitfire Family for FSX, P3D

Following the release of their new Dunkirk Spitfire Mk.1A, Aeroplane Heaven has announced the “next chapter” in their tribute to the iconic type with the development of the MkV family and the MkIX.

The upcoming releases will reportedly include “A”,”B” and “C” wing variants, tropical filters, clipped-wings and cockpits finished “in all the detail of the ‘Dunkirk’ project with refinements to match the marques represented.” The developer also states that for the first time, they will introduce an optional high definition static pilot figure.

The aircraft will reportedly be ready “later in the year” and will likely be for FSX and P3D, although this could change “depending on events over the coming months.”
