First Look: New PBR Technology Gives Aeroplane Heaven’s Upcoming He 111 “War Weary” Appearance

Flight simulation developer Aeroplane Heaven has released new screenshots of their upcoming Heinkel He 111 P2 in P3DV4.4 “with full PBR materials.”

As previously reported, the aircraft is being developed for FSX/SE, P3DV3+ and P3DV4+ and is said to offer a high fidelity model with “an enormous amount of authentic detail.” Additioanl features reportedly include a fully animated complex control systems for rudder, aileron and elevator, “secret” modern navigation suite fitted to the cockpit for IFR navigation, highly realistic, animated pilot, bomb-aimer and mid/upper gunner, detailed Daimler Benz V12 engine under removable nacelle panels and authentic stereo sound pack with the signature “out of sync” engine throb at full throttle.

Six authentic marking options will be included as well, each reportedly created using P3D v4.4’s new “PBR Workflow” techniques to provide “a new level of realism to your flight simulation experience.” The newly released images capture the results, which include metal and corrosion effects, paint chips and staining. The developer states “All Heinkels will be released for 4.4 with PBR incorporated.”

Just Flight Releases Avro Vulcan B Mk 2 for FSX and P3D

Just Flight has released their new Avro Vulcan B Mk 2 for FSX and P3D v4.

The model was reportedly built using “real-world aircraft plans and comprehensive photography of the real aircraft (XM655)” and is said to include many detailed animations, a range of payload options, varying external parts for several configurations, Olympus 201 and 301 engine nozzle types and ground equipment.

Additional features reportedly include 4096×4096 textures to produce the highest possible texture clarity, bump and specular mapping to produce a truly 3D feel, “a truly 3D virtual cockpit” and 11 marking options.

Flight Replicas Share New Images of Upcoming Bf 109 G-6 for FSX, P3D

Flight simulation developer Flight Replicas has released new interior and exterior screenshots of their upcoming Bf-109G6 for FSX and P3D.

The new set of images reportedly show WIP (but essentially complete) views of the Bf-109G6 exterior wearing the colors of the machine flown by Lt. Elias Kühlein and a representation of the late-production G6 cockpit. Models will also include a slightly earlier version of the G6 plus a Trop.

In addition to the G6, the company is also developing a Rolls Royce-powered HA-112 Buchon that will reportedly include the original Spanish Air Force colors, “examples as they appeared in the 1968 film Battle of Britain, plus some more present-day examples.”

Just Flight has released a new series of exterior shots and a promo video showcasing their upcoming Avro Vulcan B Mk 2 for FSX and P3D.

The model was reportedly built using “real-world aircraft plans and comprehensive photography of the real aircraft (XM655)” and is said to include many detailed animations, a range of payload options, varying external parts for several configurations, Olympus 201 and 301 engine nozzle types and ground equipment.

Additional features reportedly include 4096×4096 textures to produce the highest possible texture clarity, bump and specular mapping to produce a truly 3D feel, “a truly 3D virtual cockpit” and 11 marking options.

Aeroplane Heaven Offers Look at Livery Options for Upcoming Heinkel HE 111 P-2

Aeroplane Heaven has posted renderings of liveries for its upcoming Heinkel HE 111 P-2.

Six authentic options will reportedly be available, each being created using new-technology “PBR Workflow” techniques to provide “a new level of realism to your flight simulation experience.” In addition, a A “pro”-quality paint-kit will also be provided to create your own marking options.

The aircraft is being developed for FSX/SE, P3DV3+ and P3DV4+ and is said to offer a high fidelity model with “an enormous amount of authentic detail.” Additioanl features reportedly include a fully animated complex control systems for rudder, aileron and elevator, “secret” modern navigation suite fitted to the cockpit for IFR navigation, highly realistic, animated pilot, bomb-aimer and mid/upper gunner, detailed Daimler Benz V12 engine under removable nacelle panels and authentic stereo sound pack with the signature “out of sync” engine throb at full throttle.

Blue Sky FS Releases New Images, Details on Upcoming Spitfire Mk. XIV for P3D V.4 [Video]

Blue Sky Flight Simulations has released new images and details for their upcoming Rolls Royce Griffon 65-powered Spitfire Mk. XIV.

As previously reported, Blue Sky initially began developing the aircraft for Dovetail Games’ Flight Sim World (FSW), however, with FSW’s closure in May, the team is now working to prepare the Spitfire for P3D v.4.

Additional work is focused on getting the flight dynamics ready and fixing animation errors. This will be followed by “major internal testing to make sure all systems and flight functions are working” as well as external beta testing.

Aeroplane Heaven Releases First In-Sim Shots of Upcoming Heinkel HE 111 P-2

Aeroplane Heaven has released the first in-sim screenshots of their upcoming Heinkel HE 111 P-2.

As previously reported, the aircraft is being developed for FSX/SE, P3DV3+ and P3DV4+ and will be the team’s second version of the WW2 German medium bomber, having previously included an example of the type in a Battle of Britain package created for CFS3.

The aircraft is reportedly still a work in progress with plenty more to do. A timeframe for release has not yet been announced. Click below to check out additional images.

Full-Scale BAE Hawk Cockpit Reproduction Offered For Sale

A full-scale, static reproduction of a BAE Hawk cockpit in in Red Arrows color scheme has hit the market.

The section is reportedly made from fiberglass and plywood and is believed to have been “a group apprentice test piece.” It contains “no serviceable aircraft parts” but is said to be “an excellent starting point for any future simulator or display project.”

The cockpit includes an ejector seat that is lying down inside the cockpit as well as a trailer. It is located in Leighton Buzzard, UK and is currently available for bidding. Click here to check out the complete listing on eBay.

Flight Replicas Announce Development of Bf 109 G-6 and HA-1112 for FSX, P3D

Flight Replicas has announced the development of a Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 and Rolls Royce-powered Hispano HA-1112 Buchon for FSX and P3D.

The HA-112 will reportedly include the original Spanish Air Force colors, “examples as they appeared in the 1968 film Battle of Britain, plus some more present-day examples.” Currently, exteriors are said to be “just about complete” while the VC’s are “about 60% done.”

A release date has not yet been announced, although a number of in-progress screenshots have been released, additional examples of which can be seen below.

Flight simulation developer Aeroplane Heaven has announced the creation of a new Battle of Britain Hawker Hurricane Mk 1A.

Details, including liveries, features, supported simulation platforms and completion timeframe have not yet been revealed, although a number of in-development renderings have been released, additional examples of which can be seen below.
