ICM Releases New Do 217J-1/2 Night Fighter Model Kit

ICM has released its new Do 217J-1/2 model kit in 1/48 scale.

According to Scalemates, the offering (48272) is based on ICM’s new tool Do 217N-1 kit (48271). The new kit is touted as offering highly detailed engines and cockpit interior as well as marking options for four machines.

Aero L-29 Delphin This is a great example of one of the finest jet aircraft ever built by the eastern block countries. These were built to be rugged and to be operated off of grass strips. This airplane is a fairly low time good shape machine. Engine just under 500 hours total time and has passed inspection for continued operation. The airframe around 2500 TT. Ejection seats are cold. Includes a tail cart to split the tail for inspections and maintenance, tow bar, and spares. Great airshow airplane or for that person that always wanted to be their own jet fighter pilot. Eduard to Release Limited Edition B-26 “Wine, Women & Song” Model Kit

Eduard has announced the upcoming release of a limited edition B-26B/C Marauder “Wine, Women & Song” model kit in 1/72 scale.

The kit (2129) reportedly contains Hasegawa plastic parts, Eduard Brassin wheels, photo etched details, painting mask and nine marking options for 9th and 12th USAAFB-26B/C in ETO and MTO service.

Two Auster Mk9 Fuselages With “Wings to Match” Offered For Sale

A unique collection of two Auster Mk9 fuselages “with wings to match” are for sale either individually or as a pair. The listing states (in part):

Unique aeroplane fuselage. Can be used for Glamping Pods, Caravan Teardrop trailer. We bought two of these fuselages to build into two aeroplane shaped small caravans. We appeared on George Clarke’s TV show for Chanel 4 Amazing Spaces. With the one and only Camper Copter called Hette. Our idea was to take the two Mk9 Austers we call the twins and convert them into two beautiful small caravans on the Chanel 4 show, unfortunately we have other projects that just have to be done and so the twins TV appearance will have to wait till you are ready. We have several trailer options for you to build the aeroplanes onto. Other parts that we have purchased in anticipation of the project can be included if required. One is exactly as shown in the first picture. Including the undercarriage, doors, floor, tail and nose cone. The other is similar with a shorter tail, no undercarriage. It does include doors, floor and nose cone. Both are available separately or together for a discount. Also available wings to match.

Arma Releases New Tool FM-2 Wildcat “Expert Set” Model Kit

Arma Hobby has released its new tool FM-2 Wildcat “Expert Set” model kit in 1/72 scale.

As previously reported, the model will reportedly be released in three boxings, including an FM-2 Wildcat Expert Set (70031), Wildcat Mk VI Model Kit (70032) and FM-2 Wildcat Model Kit (70033). The project will also continue into the F4F-4 Wildcat version at some point.

The new Expert Set kit appears to boast photo etched details and marking options for six machines, including aircraft of VC-8, VC-10, VC-69, VC-96 and 882 Squadron.

For Sale: “WW1 German Pilot Photo Album” With Approx. 240 Images

A “WW1 German pilot photo album” reportedly containing approximately 240 images has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

Very large hardbound photo album about 50 x 34 cm, with approximately 240 photos on carton type pages. Photos range in size from 5 x 5cm to very large 35 x 27cm! All photos are very sharp and in great condition. Each page is protected by a clear divider page and this has probably helped keep the photos in such good condition. The content of the album is excellent, though as the photos are not labelled, bar a few faintly in pencil, the unit is not clear though appears to be FA 290b and the photos date from 1918, certainly pilots graves seem to be from this unit and thoses pilots or observer badges that are clear enough, are Bavarian. Canadair T-33 With “Avionics Upgrade and Overhaul, Spare Engine” For Sale

Canadair T-33 N467AV (S/N 467) has hit the market. The airframe reportedly has 11405 hours TTSNEW (Time since A.U.P. Upgrade: 606 Hours), while the Rolls Royce Canada Ltd. NENE 10 engine has 850 Hrs SMOH (1800 TBO /mini hot-section completed by Victoria Air Maintenance, 2009).

The AUP project (1996-1999) made the most significant change to the avionics and electronic capabilities for the CT-133 (by Kelowna Flightcraft). This particular T-33s is an AUP aircraft and reportedly incorporates an AN/RC-511(V)- VHF Radio System; Dual AN/AIC-505- Intercommunications System; AN/ARN-147(V)- VOR/ILS System; AN/ARN-149- ADF System; Navigation Switching Unit; AN/APN-194(V)- Radar Altimeter; Dual Annunciator Panels; Dual ADI 350S; Solid State Invertors; Canopy Yoke; AN/ARC-UHF System; Stormscope; 2 Collins TDR-90 Transponders; Dual SSD-120 Encoders; ACK-451 406 ELT. The interior was “completely redone” at AUP with “new panels, placards and detailing.”

A spare NENE 10 engine is also included. The machine is located in Reno, Nevada and is currently being offered for $210,000. Click here and here to check out complete listings.
