1942 PT-17, Boeing Stearman A75N1, 7403 tt, complete airframe, damaged, cheap! 1942 PT-17, Boeing Stearman A75N1, 7403 tt, complete airframe, damaged, cheap! On December 25th 2021, the aircraft was flying low when it impacted a power line. As you can see, damage is scattered throughout and is extensive in some areas. The landing gear was ripped from the fuselage, but the upper and lower struts themselves, as well as the wheels and redline hydraulic brakes look undamaged! Logbooks are included from the first entry in 1946 consecutively to the last entry, the annual 8/2021. With data plate and paperwork included, use this for parts, display or as a basis for your completely rebuilt Stearman!

A 1940 Stearman project described as “a gorgeous prewar Stearman with isolated, very repairable damage and a super low time high end rebuilt engine” has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

1940 Boeing Stearman PT-17, 7501TT, ONLY 65 SMOH W-670-6A main gear damaged, overall nice!… This aircraft was in military service until 1945, and the civilian logbooks start with an annual inspection in 1945! Complete logs since 1945 are included! Modified for spaying in 1962, first major rebuild and converting back to non-spray in 1972. Major nuts and bolts rebuild 1992. Refresh, IRAN and paint 2008. Zinc chromate to frame and mechanisms! Highly detailed and accurate markings, paint in great condition!! Stits Polyfiber. Fresh overhauled w670-6a engine done by Radial Engines Limited in Guthrie Oklahoma installed 3/2022.only 65.5 SMOH now! Remote oil filter installed with engine, with STC and 337! This airplane sustained damage when making an approach to landing while operating at a grass runway with other Stearmans, giving rides. Both cockpits are highly detailed and both dashes contain full instrumentation! This was a show-like quality airplane before this incident, so this airplane will require only repair of the isolated damaged components, not a restoration!! Sold with logbooks for airframe from 1945 to the present. Engine logbooks and 15 pages of information about the major overhaul to the present. Prop logbook till the present. Plus loads of 337’s, equipment list and original specs, s.t.c.s and other paperwork.

This is a 1947 Stearman A75 famously owned by Walt Pierce it has Pratt & Whitney 985 engine with a little over 300 hours, airframe time is a bit over 8k the propeller having a 2023 overhaul. This Stearman has had both bottom wings redone in 2022 aircraft need to be finished theres a lot of extra parts that will go with the airplane everything is there to complete the build all records and logs are complete unfortunately I don’t have the time to finish the aircraft rather it goes to a good home.

This is a Boeing Stearman 75-N-1 fuselage. Or a lot of it. Serial Number 75-6454 and Registration number N64385 ..This, like many Stearman was converted to a spray plane after service. Has tank, chute, lines,pump, etc to show for it. But this one, unlike many sprayers, seems to have stayed out of the power lines, telephone lines, trees, cliffsides and other obstacles over the years. Pretty much straight frame. Has a few broken welds. but most of tubular frame is nice. I bought this and many other old planes long ago in a package deal in an Estate deal. I have a folder on this that has FAA Bill of Sales from thru the decades. including up to my purchase.. Even have a 1959 annual inspection report that it passed.

Hangar Queen looking for a new home. I searched high and low to find a truly amazing Stearman and brought this bird home from North Carolina 3+ years ago (my best flight ever). Unfortunately, it’s time to move on as I have too many airplanes and not enough time to enjoy her. All options! Nothing needed! ADS B In and Out! Vintage plane with removable glass cockpit integrated with the Garmin 345 Transponder. Imagine having a moving map and traffic in the cockpit! Talk about Safety! Redline brakes, Roller Bearings, Jasco Alternator, Solid Tail Wheel Tire. Clean condition. 100 hr. prop inspection was done recently. Annual due next month, expected to pass with no problem – will coordinate with Pre-Buy. Full restoration was done in 1997 with overhaul of engine. Compressions are strong and this bird is beautiful! Gas powered Tail wheel tug included
