Offered for sale is a beautifully maintained 1943 North American SNJ-4, serial number 88-13627, Navy Bureau No. 51360, currently registered as N6424D (formerly N694US). Transferred to civil registry on September 12, 1958, at NAS Pensacola, this aircraft remains in stock SNJ-4 configuration with a rear “gunner” style seat and segmented SNJ-4 canopy with a glass front windscreen. With a total time of 9,304 hours on the airframe and 6,464 hours on the engine, the engine has 930 hours since major overhaul and 260 hours since top overhaul. Empty weight is 3,920 lbs, with a max gross weight of 5,300 lbs, offering a useful load of 1,383 lbs. Notable upgrades under STC include a Brackett air filter, auto fuel STC, Redline brakes, Jasco 12V alternator system, steerable P-51 style tailwheel, high-roll Harvard ailerons, and the AMOC wing angle program. The rear cockpit is also equipped with engine start functionality. The Titan T-51D 3/4 Scale Mustang Project is a meticulously restored aircraft, now requiring only assembly and final inspection before it’s ready for flight. With Aircraft Serial Number M08SV6SOHK0142, this plane is powered by a Honda V-6 engine with less than 60 hours of use. The engine has been fully inspected, with all fluids flushed and replenished, and it features dual SDS EM-5 Engine control units. The Titan gearbox has been thoroughly inspected by Titan, with new bearings added. The wing center section has been completely repaired using new parts, and the main gear legs were disassembled, repaired, and reassembled to ensure peak performance. The original pilot seats have been installed with new, authentic harnesses. On December 25th 2021, the aircraft was flying low when it impacted a power line. As you can see, damage is scattered throughout and is extensive in some areas. The landing gear was ripped from the fuselage, but the upper and lower struts themselves, as well as the wheels and redline hydraulic brakes look undamaged! Logbooks are included from the first entry in 1946 consecutively to the last entry, the annual 8/2021. With data plate and paperwork included, use this for parts, display or as a basis for your completely rebuilt Stearman!

For sale here is a year 2000 completed F.E.W. TF-51d, 2/3rds scale with the Chevrolet ZZ3, 350 cu.in. Engine and mt composite blade 4 blade prop!… This aircraft has only 85 hours since brand new! There is now a fist sized hole in the aluminum valve cover and a smaller hole in the left aluminum head… The cause of the hole in the head is in question: the reports say a valve stuck, causing the hot spot that burned through the aluminum head and then the valve cover, but other sources blame an exhaust leak, directed at this area from the outside as the cause. Regardless, the result was smoke in the cockpit and possibly flame, so the pilot wisely decided to end the flight immediately, off airport! Sold with technical logs for engine, prop and airframe since new, plus the journey log. And 2 boxes of supporting paperwork, including the assembly manual! And the Canadian bill of sale!… The fuselage is mounted to a cradle to support the engine and this is included. The 1 piece wing is 26’ long and manageable.

Continental W-670-6N Aircraft Engine For Sale: “Gem” With 128.7 SMOH

A Continental W-670-6N aircraft engine has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

The W-670-6N has the A5891 crankshaft with seventh order torsional vibration damper for smoother running. This gem, sn 27350, has only 993.7 hours total time since new and 128.7 hours since major overhaul. See copies from the logbook and overhaul record for details of the overhaul including the 24573 thrust bearing. This engine was on the Stearman operated by the late Karl D. Stoltzfus of Dynamic Aviation in Bridgewater, VA, and was removed in June 2020 only because he wanted an R-680 Lycoming on the aircraft. The major overhaul was done by Holland Aircraft of Tyler, TX in 1991 and installed on the Stearman in 1995. The log book is complete since the overhaul, and indicates that it was only run for 20 hours until Stoltzfus bought the Stearman in 2014. The engine was then inspected carefully, including pulling two cylinders to take a look inside. An overhauled NAR6G carburetor was installed at that time along with a 7555T Jasco alternator. At 71 hours since overhaul in June 2016, the right magneto was replaced by an overhauled one. The engine was operated with an oil filter. This offering includes the SF7RN-1 mags, NAR6G carburetor, and 7555T Jasco alternator, along with the complete exhaust and muff system, air intake system, engine mount, cowling, oil drain lines and Y, and more, but no starter.

A 1940 Stearman project described as “a gorgeous prewar Stearman with isolated, very repairable damage and a super low time high end rebuilt engine” has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

1940 Boeing Stearman PT-17, 7501TT, ONLY 65 SMOH W-670-6A main gear damaged, overall nice!… This aircraft was in military service until 1945, and the civilian logbooks start with an annual inspection in 1945! Complete logs since 1945 are included! Modified for spaying in 1962, first major rebuild and converting back to non-spray in 1972. Major nuts and bolts rebuild 1992. Refresh, IRAN and paint 2008. Zinc chromate to frame and mechanisms! Highly detailed and accurate markings, paint in great condition!! Stits Polyfiber. Fresh overhauled w670-6a engine done by Radial Engines Limited in Guthrie Oklahoma installed 3/2022.only 65.5 SMOH now! Remote oil filter installed with engine, with STC and 337! This airplane sustained damage when making an approach to landing while operating at a grass runway with other Stearmans, giving rides. Both cockpits are highly detailed and both dashes contain full instrumentation! This was a show-like quality airplane before this incident, so this airplane will require only repair of the isolated damaged components, not a restoration!! Sold with logbooks for airframe from 1945 to the present. Engine logbooks and 15 pages of information about the major overhaul to the present. Prop logbook till the present. Plus loads of 337’s, equipment list and original specs, s.t.c.s and other paperwork.
