Copper State Models Shares New Renderings of 1/32 Bristol Scout

Copper State Models has released new renderings of their upcoming Bristol Scout model kit in 1/32 scale.

The company states that the model was developed with support and guidance of David Bremner, who constructed a flying reproduction of the type in the colors of his grandfather’s machine (1264). They plan to discuss the final version of this model with David to avoid any inaccuracies and note that the new images are not the final renders of the model.

Additional details are currently limited, although 1264 will be included as a livery in the upcoming release. If all goes well, the kit will be released this year. Click below to check out additional renderings.

A “custom built, one of a kind, World War 1 inspired biplane” airframe has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

This is a custom built, one of a kind, World War 1 inspired biplane! 2 Place, side by side, 32″ wide cockpit. It was built by an experienced, award winning builder John B. Shively… This plane is not registered and will be sold as parts. It comes with a detailed builder’s log with images and calculations. It was constructed with Sitka Spruce and had a Lycoming o-235-c1 (not included). Aircraft was completed in 2007, but from my understanding was never flown. Fabric tested and is still in good condition… Get her flying quickly or keep as an amazing work of art. Wings off and ready to be transported… Aircraft is essentially complete, minus engine and propeller, which are not included in the auction. Being sold AS IS. Aircraft is not registered with the FAA and will not be sold with FAA aircraft bill of sale, sold as parts only.

Replica Sopwith Triplane fitted with1 x WARNER AIRCRAFT CORP SCARAB 165 Engine OH in 1999 thence 2017 Cylinder OH by Vintec; Wings recovered in 2010; Permit to August 2022; Very well known airshow performer. Reluctant sale due to new project. Totally airworthy aircraft, ready to fly away or be shipped anywhere in the world.

Was working on in 2020, then got stationed at Andrews AFB and in class B airspace that is VFR restricted so can not fly, now being re assigned over seas so need to downsize. Have floats for experimental that I was going to modify for this, if interested $500 for floats off a challenger II

A “full-scale, light sport experimental” Sopwith Camel has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

This is a full scale Sopwith Camel built from an Airdrome Airplanes quick build kit. It has the chromoly tube frame for the fuselage. The kit was built according to the plans and recommendations and is fitted with a Lycoming 290 and Culver prop. The aircraft has a current N number and was well documented during the build. It has working control surfaces, has all gauges and seat installed. The aircraft needs finishing with weight and balance, wiring, plumbing, mags, battery, etc. The aircraft was trailered and shown at Oshkosh in 2018 with the WWI airplanes. The aircraft was built with the intention of flying, however the educational program’s aerospace engineering classes didn’t have continued support after the first year. Therefore the aircraft is for sale. Would consider selling airframe separate from the engine… Meets requirements for light sport experimental.

Eduard Releases New Tool, Dual Combo Sopwith Camel Kit

Eduard has released a new tool, dual combo Sopwith Camel model kit in 1/48 scale.

The limited edition offering, dubbed “Camel & Co.” (11151) includes Eduard plastic parts for two aircraft as well as pre-painted photo-etched details and a painting mask. Eduard decals with ten marking options (including two fictional Biggles liveries) are also included:
