For Sale: “The Most Complete P-2V Neptune Cockpit Out There”

Please Note: This is an archived post. The information presented here may not be current and the associated listing may no longer be active.

A Lockheed P2V Neptune cockpit section, described as the “most complete” example out there, is currently available for sale. The listing states (in part):

I have collected now most of the instruments for the pilot’s and copilot’s side of the instrument panel. I have even got the super-rare plotting board that was located dead center in the instrument panel of the Neptune. Not only have I got the plotting board, but I have the NOS replacement glass for the board so that once it is installed in the panel it will look AMAZING!… This is the most complete P-2V Neptune cockpit out there and it is in very good condition. The instruments are even correct for the type and style used by the US Navy…. This cockpit is covered in spraylat (A protective coating designed to protect things like plexiglass windows). The spraylat makes the cockpit look just a bit dumpy, but once it is removed it makes the glass and fiberglass underneath it really look good! My P-2V Neptune cockpit comes with a very large compliment of the original instruments, scopes, switches, seats, pedals, and more…

The dimensions are listed as 7’4″W, 9’4″H and 28’L The section is located in Toquerville, Utah and is currently available for US $24,000, although offers are also being accepted. Click here to check out the complete listing on eBay.
