MikroMir Releases New Tool 1/32 DFW T.28 Floh Model Kit

MikroMir has released a new tool model kit of the DFW T.28 Floh in 1/32 scale.

The Floh was a tiny German biplane fighter prototype from 1915, designed by Hermann Dorner and built by Deutsche Flugzeug-Werke as a fast interceptor. Despite its compact, unusual shape, it could reach about 180 km/h with a 100 hp Mercedes engine. Its poor forward visibility and tricky landing behavior made it difficult to fly, and after prototype testing it never entered service and was eventually abandoned.

The new release (32-007) includes plastic and photo-etched parts as well as decals for the prototype machine, which was the only example ever constructed. Click below to check out box contents and the product page.

MikroMir Releases New Junkers Ju-388 L-1 Model Kit

MikroMir has released a new Junkers Ju-388 L-1 model kit in 1/72 scale.

The Ju‑388 L‑1 was a late‑WW2 German high‑altitude reconnaissance variant of the Ju‑388 “Störtebeker.” Optimized for long‑range photo‑reconnaissance at high altitudes, the L‑1 featured a pressurized cockpit, a streamlined glazed nose for cameras, and powerful Jumo 213 engines that gave it speeds around 600–650 km/h (380–400 mph) and a service ceiling well above 12,000 m (40,000 ft). Like the rest of the Ju‑388 series, it entered service only in small numbers during the final phases of the war and saw limited combat, but one captured Ju‑388 L‑1 was later acquired by the United States and is now preserved in the National Air and Space Museum.

MikroMir to Release New Tool DH 112 Venom Model Kit

MikroMir has announced the development of a new DH 112 Venom model kit in 1/48 scale.

Further details are scarce, but Scalemates reports that the offering will be new tool. A series of renderings were released to accompany the announcement, additional examples of which can be seen below.

MikroMir Releases Handley Page Victor B.Mk1/K.2P Model Kit

MikroMir has released a Handley Page Victor B.Mk1/K.2P model kit in 1/144 scale.

Details on the kit (144-027) are scarce, but images of the contents have been released and appear to show plastic and photoetched parts as well as decals with marking options for three aircraft, including XH648 (seen on the box art above), XA940 and XH592.

MikroMir Releases Renderings of Upcoming New Tool Canberra T.Mk 17 Model

Model manufacturer MikroMir has released new renderings of a new tool Canberra T.Mk 17 model kit that is currently in development. The company is also in the process of developing a T.Mk 11, and both kits will reportedly be offered in 1/72 scale.

The English Electric Canberra was a jet-powered medium bomber that was introduced in the early 1950s and continued in service until 2006. The T.11 variant held a crew of four and served as a trainer for pilots and navigators of all-weather interceptors while the T.17 operated as an electronic warfare training variant.

Little has been reported about the upcoming kits, although the T.Mk 11 will reportedly be released “soon”.
