Brickmania to Release Limited Edition Albatros D.III LEGO Model Kit

Brickmania has announced the upcoming release of a limited edition 1/35 Albatros D.III LEGO model kit.

The offering (BKM447) boasts 351 LEGO and BrickArms parts, a custom sticker sheet, a printed minifigure and full-color building instructions. Additional features include an “expertly configurated dihedral lower wing matching the true shape of the aircraft,” a pair of BrickArms MG08s, brick-built camouflage on the wings and a printed wood grain propeller.

The kit is currently available for pre-order with an expected release on 3/5/2020.

Lukgraph Announces Upcoming 1/32 DH.89 Dragon Rapide Model Kit

Lukgraph Resin Kit has announced the upcoming release of a De Havilland DH.89 Dragon Rapide in 1/32 scale.

The model will reportedly measure 456 x 332 mm and will be available in two boxings, including “2 British painting (camouflage and silver)” and “US Army and Israeli Air Force.” The kit will also boast resin castings, 3D printed Gipsy Six x 2 engine with exhaust pipes, 3D printed passenger seats (8 + 1 reserve), 3D printed pilot’s cabin interior and photo-etched sheets.

The most important elements (wings, fuselage, gondolas) are ready. A gondola consisting of two halves with a motor will be a big advantage of the model (open – you will have to make it yourself – but this is not a problem for an experienced modeller).

The kit is slated to appear “at the turn of April and May this year.” The company states that the price has not yet been determined, but will be “as friendly as possible.” Click below to check out additional images.

Watch Airfix’s 1/24 F6F Hellcat Model Come Together in Stop-Motion [Video]

The latest stop-motion assembly video from Modeler extraordinaire Tom Grigat was posted today, and it showcases Airfix’s recently released 1/24 scale Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat.

The clip due to the shear amount of pieces is my longest so far and shows the stopmotion animation of assembling the beautiful kit of one of the best american fighters of world war two with some very nice additional detailing products:

Airfix Shares New Images of Upcoming New Tool Bristol Beaufort

Airfix has released a new series of renderings detailing their upcoming new tool Bristol Beaufort Mk.I model kit in 1/72 scale.

As previously reported, details about the kit (A04021) are currently scarce, although it appears to have two liveries representing N1016 of 22 Squadron and L9866 of 217 Squadron. It is currently slated for release in the autumn.

E-Flite Releases New P-51D Mustang 1.5m RC Model With Smart Technology

E-Flite has released a new 1.5m P-51D Mustang RC model in both BNF Basic (EFL01250) and PNP (EFL01275) versions with Smart Technology.

Described as “the largest, most detailed, and best performing E-flite model of the famous fighter yet,” the new offering is touted as reproducing the Mustang with “exceptional detail, handling, performance and presence.”

Features reportedly include removable drop tanks, molded-in panel lines and guns; functional LED navigation lights, sequenced main gear / tailwheel doors and flaps; a factory-installed, high-power 6S-compatible brushless motor with large diameter 4-blade prop and nine factory-installed servos with precise ball-link equipped linkages.

Modelsvit Releases New Tool P-51H Model Kit

Modelsvit has released its new tool P-51H model kit in 1/48 scale.

The kit (4817) reportedly includes two cockpits, clear parts (open/closed canopy) and flaps that can be adjusted in 2 positions. Additional features include adhesive masks, photo etched parts and decals with marking options for a number of aircraft, including 44-64561 of 182 FBS, Texas ANG; 44-64347 of 101 FIS, Massachusetts ANG; 44-64351 of 133 FIS, New Hampshire ANG and RAF machine KN987.

Airfix Announces Upcoming New Tool Spitfire Mk.Vc Kit

As part of their 2020 range of products, Airfix has announced the upcoming release of a new tool Spitfire Mk.Vc model kit in 1/72 scale.

The company states that this first release (A02108) will represent “aircraft equipped with the distinctive chin mounted Vokes air filter, which whilst reducing the top speed of the aircraft, allowed it to be operated more effectively in warmer and sand filled Mediterranean and desert climates.” Two livery profiles have also been posted for ER180 of 307 FS 31 FG and JL115 of 2 Squadron.

Freewing to Release T-33 Shooting Star 80mm RC Model

Freewing and Motion RC have announced the upcoming release of a new 80mm (1/9.5 scale) T-33 Shooting Star PNP RC model in both USAF and German liveries.

The model is reportedly constructed from EPO foam, carbon, wood, aluminum, and other materials and is powered by an 80mm EDF power system “optimized for performance and easy flying behavior.” Additional features include light wing loading for “very stable flight and a mild gentle stall,” scale split flaps, removable tip tanks, robust aluminum trailing link suspension landing gear and “quick and easy screw together assembly.”

The models are available as ARF Plus (ARF + servos) or Receiver Ready. Release is expected somethime this month. Click below to check out a video overview.
