Eduard Releases New P-51D F-6D/K Photo Reconnaissance Model Kit

Eduard has released a new F-6D/K photo reconnaissance version of the P-51D Mustang in 1/48 scale.

The new offering (82103) reportedly includes Eduard plastic parts and decals, pre-painted photo-etched parts, a painting mask and marking options for six machines:

1. F-6D-15, 44-14874, flown by Lt. John E. Jacoby, 82nd TRS, 71st TRG, 5th AF, Johnson Field, Japan, September 1945
2.F-6D-10, 44-14699, flown by Lt. Clifford S. Slonneger, 109th TRS, 67th TRG, 9th AF, Gosselies, Belgium, 1945

Eduard Releases New “Very Long Range” P-51 Kit With 12 Liveries

Eduard has released a new, limited edition P-51D VLR (Very Long Range) “Tales of Iwo Jima” model kit in 1/48 scale.

The offering (11142) focuses on aircraft from 15th FG, 506th FG, 21st FG that flew so-called “Very Long Range” missions from Iwo Jima to Japan. It includes Eduard plastic parts and decals, pre-painted photo-etched parts, a painting mask, resin wheels and a pin bearing the emblem of the 78th Fighter Squadron. Eduard’s New Royal Class P-51D Masterfully Assembled in Entertaining Stop-Motion Video

As the subject for his latest stop-motion model assembly video, Tom Grigat of TOMs Modelling in Motion takes on Eduard’s “Royal Class” 1/48 P-51D kit. Tom states:

“This video is about the kit opponent of my recent animation of the Hobby Boss version were I had to add a lot of after market parts to get a good result. This Royal class kit from Eduard is so perfect detailed that assembling out of box has been better than the other kit with all the additional parts. I hope you’ll like it… I achieved the bare metal look with – for me – a new type of acrylic colors: KColors from custom paint industries. Other colors: Alclad Mil-Specs, Alclad II metallics, Alclad Aqua Gloss. Antenna cable simulated with rubber thread from Uschi van der Rosten.”

Eduard Releases New Royal Class Dual Combo P-51D Mustang Kit

Eduard has released their new Royal Class edition P-51D/K Mustang kit in 1/48 scale.

The Dual Combo style offering (R0020) reportedly contains sprues for two complete models and marking options for 14 aircraft, including D-5, D-10, D-15, D-20 and D-25 production blocks as well as the Mustang Mk.IV. Additional features include Eduard sprues, pre-painted PE parts, a painting mask, resin parts (undercarriage wheels (2 sets), 2 types of exhaust stacks), and 1/48 scale PSP display.
