Check Out Border Model’s New Tool P-51D Kit That Comes Entirely Pre-Painted

Border Model has announced the upcoming release of a new tool P-51D Mustang kit in 1/35 scale.

What makes this model (BF-015) especially unique is that it’s pre-painted with a metallic aluminum base color and with complex internal sections all finished in advance. That means no tedious painting required. Beyond this the kit offers rivet lines, subtle stressed skin texture and a complete interior. Additional features include PE parts, two types of drop tanks and decals with four marking options.

Eduard Releases New P-51D F-6D/K Photo Reconnaissance Model Kit

Eduard has released a new F-6D/K photo reconnaissance version of the P-51D Mustang in 1/48 scale.

The new offering (82103) reportedly includes Eduard plastic parts and decals, pre-painted photo-etched parts, a painting mask and marking options for six machines:

An “89”, giant scale” display model of P-51D Mustang “Miss Helen” has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

The dimensions: 89”WS 80”L… Featured are: retractable landing gear, pilot & detailed cockpit, sliding canopy, functional exhaust, correct scale static propeller, and more master built details. The completed airworthy master built model may typically take 1-1.5 years, and have a total investment cost of $15k-$20k, with the required crating plus insured S/H. This P-51 Mustang is one of 20+ rare, and unique collectible giant scale airplanes from a 55+ year private collection.

Brickmania Releases New LEGO P-51D Model Kit

Brickmania has released a new, limited edition 1/35 P-51D Mustang LEGO model kit.

The offering (BKM2227) boasts a color scheme representing Mustangs of the 352nd Fighter Group and reportedly includes 438 new-condition LEGO elements, a high-quality sticker sheet and a custom-printed American pilot minifigure.

The model is described containing “cool features” including retractable landing gear, a spinning propeller, and brick-built color scheme.
