Airframe TT: 2767.51, Engine 320.73 SMOH. Continental O-300-A. Aluminum exterior with red trim. Gray fabric interior. Complete log books, paperwork, and manuals going back to 1946. Last annual/last flown in 2008. In hangar since then. Belonged to my grandfather, a retired US Navy Commander, meticulous pilot and A&P.

Former RAN Historic Flight Sea Fury Prepared for Transport to New Home

HARS Navy Heritage Flight of New South Wales, Australia has reported that Hawker Sea Fury WG630 is in the process of being relocated from Nowra to its new home at Albion Park.

The Sea Fury was previously part of the RAN Historic Flight collection, which was acquired by HARS Aviation Museum in 2018. The flight, which was grounded in 2008, consists of the Sea Fury, as well as two Grumman Trackers, two Bell UH-1B helicopters, two Westland HAS.31B helicopters, a de Havilland Sea Venom and a C-47. The Sea Fury will reportedly be on public display while engineering staff work to create a restoration/repair schedule which will hopefully see the machine returned to airworthy condition.

The Sea Fury, which was in storage at Air Affairs in Nowra, recently had its fuselage loaded onto a semitrailer for Friday’s journey. Click below to check out a video of the process.

E-Flite Releases New 80mm F-4 Phantom II RC Model

E-Flite has released their new 80mm F-4 Phantom RC model in both BNF and PNP versions.

As previously reported, The offering is described as an “Extra Scale replica that delivers incredible performance in a great handling model.” Features reportedly include removable ordnance and tanks, strut covers, molded-in panel lines, LED lights, full-flying stabs, flaps and sequenced nose gear doors. Power is provided by a factory-installed high-power 6S-compatible brushless inrunner motor and 100-amp ESC.

The BNF version also includes a Spektrum 6-channel receiver with DSMX technology, optional-use SAFE Select flight envelope protection and AS3X technology offering “unmatched stability and precision.”

Here we have a very rare example of a Eurofighter Typhoon Jet Training Cockpit. The item is used and has some general bumps and scrapes as you would expect, nothing too major. As you can see from the pictures the cockpit is in an unpopulated condition (no instruments) but does have the major cabling, pneumatic pipework, inverters etc all missing parts and instruments can easily be purchased including the HOTAS, Facsimile Ejection seats, glare sheilds etc

First Look: Test Sprues For Airfix’s New Tool Blackburn Buccaneer

Airfix has released a new series of images featuring test frames for their upcoming Blackburn Buccaneer S Mk.2 model kit (A06021) in 1/72 scale.

The representation of “one of the world’s most accomplished low level strike jets” was reportedly on the company’s most requested list for some time and is now said to be “advancing nicely towards its scheduled release date.”

The newly released images show “all the major parts and illustrates how the new kit will come together as a build project.” Every aspect of the parts will reportedly be inspected and assessed, which could lead to a schedule of refinements being produced. A test build will then follow.
