HpH Models has released its massive 1/32 B-52 Stratofortress cockpit section model kit.
The new offering is currently priced at €123.97, although this will drop to €120 when ordered together with HpH’s new B-52 1/48 scale kit. The company notes that the new 1/32 scale cockpit section kit consists basically of enlarged parts from the fully detailed cockpit included with the full 1/48 offering.

The company states that the kit (HPH 48052L) has been finished and the first pre-orders are currently being dispatched:
There are about 60 pre-ordered kits right now and further pre-orders are being accepted. If you pre-order the kit right now, you will get to the pre-orders list once the deposit is paid. New pre-orders will be dispatched during March.
As previously reported, the offering is part of the company’s “extreme” line, which also includes a 1/48 B-36 Peacemaker. It reportedly includes fiberglass main assemblies, vacuum cast resin details and clear parts made of transparent resin. The new offering will reportedly be priced at 150 Euro, although this will drop to 120 Euro when ordered together with the upcoming B-52 1/48 scale kit. The company notes that the new 1/32 scale cockpit section kit consists basically of enlarged parts from the fully detailed cockpit included with the full 1/48 offering.

HpH Models has released new images of its upcoming B-52H Stratofortress in a massive 1/48 scale.
As previously reported, the kit is part of the company’s “extreme” line, which also includes a 1/48 B-36 Peacemaker. It will reportedly include fiberglass main assemblies, vacuum cast resin details and clear parts made of transparent resin. Also said to be included are photo-etched and metal parts, a wet transfer decal sheet and painting masks.
The kit (HPH 48052L) will contain a complete interior, undercarriage, open bomb bay and bomb racks with a basic armament fit. Extra accessories will also be released as separate sets that include a complete maximum payload of “steel bombs” (including their appropriate racks), ALCM cruise missiles (including the internal rotary launcher and external racks) and a huge landing flaps kit (it is necessary to order this kit simultaneously with the B-52 kit in order to prepare the basic wing parts for the flaps installation).

Over a four hour period yesterday, the Museum of Flight in Seattle relocated their newly restored B-52 “Midnight Express” to its new, permanent home on the west side of the Museum’s Aviation Pavilion.
As previously reported, the bomber (S/N 59-2584) had been parked outdoors at the museum’s Paine Field facility for 26 years before a $2.2 million restoration effort was launched. The machine will now serve as the centerpiece of a new Vietnam Air War Memorial Park, which is slated to open on May 25, 2019 and will pay tribute to the aircraft of the Vietnam War and honor the service members who flew and supported them.

Modelcollect has released their new tool B-52H model kit in 1/72 scale.
The kit (UA72200) is touted as offering two detailed engine parts, four detailed flaps, detailed tail, 12 AGM-129 missiles and full interior details. It also includes one livery option for B-52H “SAC TIME” of 93 Bomb Squadron, 917 Wing.
The company has also announced that their new 1/72 B-52G (early type) model kit will be released “in few weeks.” The offering (UA72207) is described as “Broken Arrow 1966, with B-28 Nuclear bomb,” although additional details are scarce. However, box art and a series of renderings have been released and can be seen below.

On Sunday, the newly restored B-52G Stratofortress “Midnight Express” arrived at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. The Welcome Home ceremony saw the machine’s restored fuselage transported from Paine Field in Everett to Raisbeck Aviation High School, traveling down East Marginal Way South.
As previously reported, the bomber (S/N 59-2584) had been parked outdoors at the museum’s Paine Field facility for the past 26 years. A $2.2 million effort was launched to restore the machine for use as the centerpiece of a new Vietnam Air War Memorial Park, which will pay tribute to the aircraft of the Vietnam War and honor the service members who flew and supported them.
The fuselage was the largest and final piece of the restored aircraft to arrive the museum, where it will eventually be reassembled for display in the new park, which is set to open on November 11.
