…1986 “Pietenpol Air Camper.” (It’s registered as a Pietenpol, but is largely Grega GN-1 – meaning, among other things, it has a slightly wider cockpit!) Restored in 2019 by an A&P/IA, the airplane has a 395lb useful load (including fuel.) Wings and airframe are covered in Ceconite fabric. 450hrs SMOH on a reliable A65, all compressions in the 70’s. No electrical system, no starter, but a handheld radio and portable intercom are included in the sale. J-3 “Cub” style gear, with new bungees in 2022. This is a sweet little airplane that has always been hangared. Times will increase as I enjoy flying it. Conditional inspection completed October 2024… Airframe and engine logs are complete.

1955 T-28B, R-1820-86B, FRONT END SCORCHED, 100%COMPLETE, W PAPERWORK, REBUILD OR PARTS, CHEAP! … THE ENGINE ON THE AIRCRAFT FOR SALE HERE IS AN UPDATED R-1820-86B. THE ENGINE WAS OVERHAULED IN 1996 AND HAS 901 HOURS SINCE MAJOR OVERHAUL. COMPRESSIONS AT THE LAST ANNUAL INSPECTION WERE ALL 72 OR BETTER. THIS AIRCRAFT ENTERED CIVILIAN SERVICE IN 1986. CURRENT TOTAL AIRFRAME TIME IS 11,004. THIS AIRCRAFT SUFFERED A NOSEGEAR SHIMMEY ON LANDING, WHICH STARTED TO PULL THE AIRCRAFT OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT COULD NOT KEEP THE AIRPLANE CENTERED, SO HE ELECTED TO TAKE A PRETTY DRASTIC STEP AND INTENTIONALLY RETRACTED THE LANDING GEAR! THE AIRPLANE ENDED UP ON ITS BELLY IN THE GRASS OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY, WHERE IT STARTED A GRASS FIRE! DAMAGE WAS SUSTAINED TO THE FORWARD BELLY AREA, THE NOSE GEAR DOORS AND THE LEFT MAIN GEAR DOORS FROM THE RETRACTION EVENT, AND TO THE LOWER COWLING AND FORWARD FUSELAGE FROM THE GRASS FIRE BEFORE IT WAS EXTINQUISHED! THE LEADING EDGE OF THE LEFT WING SUSTAINED IMPACT DAMAGE FROM A RUNWAY SIGN AND THE LEFT FLAP (HEAVY DAMAGE) AND RIGHT FLAP (SCRAPED ON INBOARD TRAILING EDGE) WERE DAMAGED WHEN THE GEAR RETRACTED.

Hence would be easy to get certified to fly. This is a restoration project. It is 90% completed and have 105% of the parts. Many extra parts and a second engine. All work has been done by an award winning aircraft builder that was a T-33 instructor with 650 hours in the T-33. All restoration work beautifully done with 10% remaining. This plane is truly a piece of history that needs to be preserved.

1946 Ercoupe 415c, 2440 TT, 467 SMOH, light sport, little damage, very cute, cheap… this Ercoupe was owned and flown by flying club at a small field with a hard surface runway in southern Iowa… this aircraft has been well maintained by the club! The engine was overhauled in 2001… it has Slick mags, a 60 amp alternator conversion, electric start and other upgrades as well! The aircraft also has Cleveland wheels and brakes. Last annual was performed 3/5/24, so it has just expired… There is a slight wrinkle on the skin rear attachment point for the right wing, on the “center section” that goes from side to side under the fuselage.
