MiG-15 UTI Project For Sale: “Complete, Has Airworthiness Certificate”

Please Note: This is an archived post. The information presented here may not be current and the associated listing may no longer be active.

A MiG-15 UTI has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

This is a certified , N numbered, registered mig15uti… it has an airworthiness certificate, is complete, and these 2 things alone saves you years of work and money. It is disassembled, but completely there… The bad…. It needs all new rubber lines and hoses, a lot of elbow grease, and ……etc etc etc. This particular Mig is interesting because it has an l39 brakes conversion done, approved , and flown with for many years already. It does not an anti lock brake system, and is now pneumatic over hydraulic , and the spindles, disks , calipers (not 100% sure on the caliper) and wheels from an l39. . If you know migs, this is a huge advantage. I also have a brand new set of drop tanks I will include… and the current set as well.

The aircraft is located in Oswego, New York and is currently being offered for US $35,000. Click here to check out the listing on eBay, which includes many additional photos and details.

1946 Luscombe 8A For Sale: “LAA Permit to Fly Classic”

Please Note: This is an archived post. The information presented here may not be current and the associated listing may no longer be active.

A 1946 Luscombe 8A has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

G-BSTX has an LAA permit valid through to 8th October 2024. It has an IAA Validation to fly in Irish airspace… The design and history of the aircraft appealed to us, so we set about repairing it after a landing accident in 2010… Compressions are 77, 75, 75 and 77 so you won’t get better. Built on 13th Aug 1946 the overall airframe time is just 2361hrs. The A65-8 has 659hrs SMOH on 29th April 2001. The prop has 73hrs SPOH. Inside you are looking at period spec instruments with a power for an Icom AC22E (not 8.33Khz/not included) and HM400 intercom. The aircraft has an air-driven alternator and battery fitted, so it can run nav lights, cockpit lights and 12V power to whatever cockpit electrics you choose to fit. In-flight you are looking at about 84kts at 2200rpm burning 17L per hour. Fuel capacity is 53L so you have roughly 2.75hrs endurance with a reserve and a range of about 210nm in still air.

The aircraft is located in Athlone, Ireland and is currently available for £22,950, although offers are also being accepted. Click here to check out the listing on eBay, which includes a number of additional photos and details.

1959 Champ 7GC Airframe Project For Sale: “Recently Flown, Not a Sitter”

Please Note: This is an archived post. The information presented here may not be current and the associated listing may no longer be active.

A 1959 Champ 7GC airframe project has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

This aircraft suffered damage when it ground looped on landing and headed for the bushes, where it impacted a tree on the left wing inboard leading edge, and another on the right wing leading edge… the airplane did not go over on its nose, so there is no damage to the firewall, bootcowl, engine mount or cowlings and nosebowl!… The 0-290 engine has been unbolted, and is not included…the former owner kept the tailwheel and spring, so none is included here…the logbooks for this airframe were lost by UPS in shipping, but we have copies of the last several entries from the airframe book that we will include. Last annual was performed 1/5/2022 and expired 1/31/23, so this is not a sitter, it is a good looking, recently flown and annualed airframe with repairable damage!

The project is located near Minneapolis, Minnesota and is currently available for $3,995, although bids are also being accepted. Click here to check out the listing on eBay, which includes many additional photos and details.

1958 Piper Tri-Pacer Airframe Project For Sale: “Isolated Damage”

A 1958 Piper Tri-Pacer airframe project has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

1958 Piper Tri-Pacer PA-22-160 airframe, isolated damage from hard landing, nice plane, great project!… The owner of this airplane had just spent $18,000 on this airplane to overhaul the engine, with plans to keep it forever. Unfortunately, the engine seized during the test flight, and the owner made an unexpected power off landing back at his home airport of Grants Pass Oregon, but not on the runway! The damage to the aircraft is surprisingly light and easy to repair… The engine was removed for subrigation on the overhauling shop, so it and it’s bolt on accessories are not included here. The airbox and exhaust system are included, and all cables and electrical wires were unbolted, not cut, for easy replacement of the engine. This airplane is very easily fixable, and will make a sweet project, and a sweet airplane to own and fly after repair!

The airframe is located in Grants Pass, Oregon and is currently being offered for US $5,995, although bids are also being accepted. Click here to check out the complete listing on eBay, which includes many additional photos and details.
