Hangar 9 Releases Sport Scale F6F Hellcat RC Model

Hangar 9 has released their new 15cc Sport Scale F6F Hellcat RC model.

As previously reported, The offering is said to boast “realism with the specific needs of the sport pilot,” resulting in a “large model that’s easy to handle and offers the awesome look of a high-performance fighter.” Features reportedly include lightweight, laser-cut balsa and plywood construction, factory-applied UltraCote film covering and realistic markings and graphics with three nose-art decal choices.

The model’s hardware package is touted as offering everything needed for the installation of an internal-combustion or electric power engine, while the fiberglass cowl “provides enough space to conceal any of the recommended engine or motor recommendations.”

Freewing Releases New 70 mm Messerschmitt Me 262 RC Model

Freewing has released an updated version of their 70 mm Messerschmitt Me 262 RC model.

“Version 2” reportedly features upgraded 3048-2150kv brushless outrunner motors, twin 12-Blade 70mm EDFs with metal housing for “high speed maneuvers and realistic jet turbine sound,” as well as a new livery representing “Yellow 7” (B/N 500491) which is on display at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.

The model is said to be “very nimble with excellent speed and flight characteristics” and reportedly includes super scale features such as a detailed cockpit, authentic graphics, engine vents and machine guns. The model is also touted as offering split flaps for shorter takeoffs and slower landings, nylon hinges on all control surfaces, crash resistant EPO foam with carbon wing spars for enhanced strength and durable, shock absorbing, metal retractable gear.

Eduard Releases New Tool Bf 109 G-10 Model Kit

Eduard has released their new tool ProfiPACK edition model kit of the Bf 109 G-10 in 1/48 scale.

The kit (82119) reportedly focuses on “aircraft produced by the Messerschmitt factory in Regensburg” and is said to include plastic parts, a painting mask, pre-painted PE parts and marking options representing W.Nr. 130282, flown by Hptm. Franz Wienhusen; W. Nr. 130297, flown by Fw. Horst Petzschler and W. Nr. 130342 of 5./ NJG 11. Liveries for 1./ KG(J) 6 and 13./ JG 27 machines are also included.

Arma Hobby to Release New Tool Hawker Hurricane Mk 1

Arma Hobby has announced the upcoming release of a new tool Hawker Hurricane Mk 1 model kit in 1/72 scale.

The kit will reportedly feature a detailed interior and wheel bays, open or closed canopy display, an optional tropical version, two types of propeller blades, three types of spinners and photo etched details. The kit will also be released in junior and expert editions, with the latter offering cockpit and wheel masks and “significant” photo-etched plates. Decal options will reportedly include “Aces as Urbanowicz, Zumbach, Frantisek and others.”

Eduard to Release New Tool Bf 109 G-10 Mtt Regensburg

Eduard has announced the upcoming release of a new tool ProfiPACK edition model kit of the Bf 109 G-10 in 1/48 scale.

The kit (82119) will focus on “aircraft produced by the Messerschmitt factory in Regensburg” and will reportedly include five decal options which can be seen below, along with newly released images of the kit’s contents.

The Bf 109 G-10 is currently slated for release in August.

First Look: Airfix’s New Tool Bristol Blenheim Mk.IF

Airfix has published the first test build photos of their upcoming new tool Bristol Blenheim Mk.IF in 1/48 scale.

As previously reported, the Blenheim will serve as the first twin engine WWII aircraft type within the Airfix rage to be produced using the very latest design and manufacturing techniques. The larger scale has allowed designers to incorporate far more detail, and they reportedly left no stone unturned in their quest to produce the most accurate kit possible. The team has utilized data gathered from examinations of original Blenheim drawings as well as preserved examples of the type, including the Aircraft Restoration Company’s airworthy Bristol Blenheim Mk.I and the beautifully preserved Blenheim Mk.IV based at the Aviation Museum of Central Finland in Tikkakoski.

The kit (A09186) will include two liveries, including K7159 (YX-N) of 54 Operational Training Unit, and L6739 (YP-Q) of 23 Squadron, which is the scheme currently applied to G-BPIV operated by the Aircraft Restoration Company at Duxford.

First Look: New Tool 1/32 Zoukei-Mura Kawasaki Ki-45 Sprues / Test Build

Zoukei-Mura has released new photos of a partial test build of their upcoming new tool 1/32 Kawasaki Ki-45 Kai “Toryu” model kit, while also providing a look at the sprues.

The process has reportedly been nearly four years in the making, with the prototype mold being recently completed from painstakingly produced CAD drawings. As previously reported, the representation of the WW2 Japanese twin-engine fighter will reportedly include short nose and long nose versions along with their different armaments.

Durafly Releases New Supermarine Seafire Mk IIB 1100mm RC Model in “What If” Colors

Durafly has released a new, 1100mm Supermarine Seafire Mk IIB plug and fly RC model.

The aircraft was designed with a “what if” color scheme similar to the planes flown by US Navy airmen in the Pacific Fleet and includes “three different, unique sets of decals.” Additional features reportedly include scale parts, faithfully reproduced split flaps, servoless electric retracts, a scale outline, ball links on all controls, fine surface detail and a premier paint finish along with an operating LED navigation system.

Scale performance and maneuverability are said to be provided by a Aerostar 3536 770KV Brushless motor with an Aerostar 50A ESC, while a large rudder, steerable tailwheel and forward raked main gear reportedly provide improved ground handling and “easier and more scale-like” takeoffs and landings.

Tamiya to Release New 1/48 F-14D Tomcat Model Kit

Tamiya has announced the upcoming release of a new F-14D Tomcat model kit in 1/48 scale.

The kit (61118) appears to be based off the company’s new tool F-14A kit (61114) which was released in 2016. It is said to be a faithful reproduction of the machine and reportedly includes movable wings and a number of weapon/reconnaissance options, including laser and GPS-guided bombs and late stage air-to-air missiles, as well as lantern, jamming and reconnaissance camera pods. Three marking options will also be included representing machines from VF-213 “Black Lions,” VF-101 “Grim Reapers” and VF-2 “Bounty Hunters.”
