Roden Releases New 1/32 Stearman PT-17 Model Kit

Since our initial report earlier this month, Roden has released their new Stearman PT-17 Kaydet model kit in 1/32 scale.

Details about the new offering (631) are sparse, but it appears that two liveries are included representing S/N 42-16408,”88″ (U.S. Army Flight Training Base, Mather Field, Sacramento, California, October 1942) and BP-30 (4 British Flight Training School, Mesa, Arizona, USA, early 1940s).

1931 GB Model R-1 Air Racer Model Airplane. Condition is New. Pick up and Appointment only. 7/8 Scale. It’s All Wood – even the motor! Plans on how it was built will be provided * One of a Kind! Would look cool hanging over your car collection or next to it.

ICM to Release 1/32 Gloster Sea Gladiator Mk.II Model Kit

ICM is set to release a new Gloster Sea Gladiator Mk.II model kit in 1/32 scale.

The kit (32042) is reportedly based on ICM’s new tool Gladiator Mk.I kit (32040) released last year and is described as the company’s first attempt to release a 1/32 example of the Sea Gladiator into the market. Features include “a highly detailed engine and cockpit interior” as well as marking options for four aircraft.

DoraWings Announces Development of 1/48 Seversky P-35A Model Kit

DoraWings has announced the development of a new Seversky P-35A model kit in 1/48 scale.

As of this writing, the model is described as a “work in progress” with additional details, such as kit contents, liveries, pricing and a potential release date, yet to be revealed. However, a number of renderings have been shared, additional examples of with can be seen below.

ICM to Release New 1/48 Do 217J-1/2 Night Fighter Model Kit

ICM is slated to release a new Do 217J-1/2 model kit in 1/48 scale.

According to Scalemates, the offering (48272) is based on ICM’s new tool Do 217N-1 kit (48271) released last year and includes new parts – although a complete list of contents, including liveries, appears to be absent at the moment.

As of this writing, the kit is described as a May release that will soon be on sale. To date a series of CAD renderings have been released, as well as images of the two new sprues included with the kit. Click below to see more.

Italeri Releases Battle of Britain Edition Heinkel He IIIH Model Kit

Italeri has re-released its 1/72 Heinkel He IIIH model kit with five new marking options commemorating the upcoming 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

Italeri Releases Battle of Britain Hawker Hurricane Mk.I Model Kit

Italeri has re-released its 1/48 Hawker Hurricane Mk.I model kit with changed decals representing four Battle of Britain machines.

It appears that the kit (2802) contains photo etched parts and liveries for P2923, flown by Plt. Albert Gerard Lewis of 85 Squadron; P3395, flown by F/OA.W. Clowes of 1 Squadron; P3878, flown by Plt. Off. HAC Bird-Wilson of 17 Squadron; and P2961, flown by F/OW.L. McKnight of 242 Squadron.

First Look: Arma’s New Tool FM-2 Wildcat Finished Build

Arma Hobby has released a new series of images showing a completed and finished version of their upcoming FM-2 Wildcat model kit in 1/72 scale.

As previously reported, the model will reportedly be released in three boxings, including an FM-2 Wildcat Expert Set (70031), Wildcat Mk VI Model Kit (70032) and FM-2 Wildcat Model Kit (70033). The project will also continue into the F4F-4 Wildcat version at some point.

Special Hobby to Release New Short Sunderland Mk III Model Kit

Special Hobby has announced the upcoming release of a new Short Sunderland Mk III model kit in 1/72 scale.

Details about the offering (SH72304), including contents and pricing, appear to be absent at the moment. However, the box art seen here suggests that a EK591, a Blackburn-built machine that operated with 422 Squadron RCAF, will be a marking option.

The kit is currently slated for release in June.

Eduard Releases Limited Edition, Triple-Combo Ernst Udet Fokker/Albatros Kit

After quickly selling out following initial release in April, Eduard has once again made available its new, limited edition edition Du doch nicht!! “triple-combo” model kit focused on aircraft flown by German WW1 flying ace Ernst Udet.

The offering (11137) includes Albatros D.V, Fokker Dr.1 and Fokker D.VII (OAW) kits in 1/48 scale with a total of seven marking options. The kit reportedly contains Eduard sprues, pre-painted photo-etched sets, paint masks, a Pour le Mérite pin and a resin cockpit floor, seat and figure.
