Restored Vought F-4U-5N Corsair Offered For Sale

Chance Vought F-4U-5N Corsair B/N 123168 (VH-III) has hit the market.

The machine was constructed in 1951 for the US Navy and was later delivered to the FA Hondurena in March 1956 as FAH603. In subsequent years, the aircraft passed through the hands of Hollywood Wings Inc. and the Disney Corporation, which gifted it to RNZAF Museum. First Look: Kineticmodel’s Upcoming New Tool F-104G Starfighter Kit

Kineticmodel has shared an update on its upcoming new tool F-104G Starfighter model kit in 1/48 scale.

As previously reported, the offering (48083) will reportedly include the avionics bay, C-2/GQ-7A ejection seat, radar and a detailed landing gear bay. The company states that the kit will be released as part of the “Kinetic Gold” series, which sees all tooling quality/design based on the new standard. In addition, the detail surface will make use the mirror EDM system to represent a shined, polished, bare metal surface.

The company states that the kit is “Closing to your door step” and will hopefully be available after July 20. Click below to check out additional images.

The airframe reportedly has 11,615 TTSN; 2,324 hrs since Lockheed anti-deterioration service check; 751 hrs since last “D” check and 9,362 landings since new. The four Allison T-56A-11 engines have 225, 775, 470 and 1150 SOH.

The machine is described as offering an extensive avionics package as well as a full set of maintenance and inspection manuals. One of Only Two Flying Examples of Fiat G-59 Offered For Sale

Fiat G-59-4B S/N MM-53774 (I-MRSV), touted as one of only two flying examples of the type in the world, has hit the market.

The aircraft is one of only ten G.59-4Bs built and performed its first post restoration flight on May 25, 1992 from Lido di Venezia Airport. The airframe reportedly has 240 hrs since restoration while the Rolls Royce Merlin 500/20 engine has 240 hrs SMOH by Zeuschel Racing Engines.

The NZ Warbirds Association has reported that the owners of Classic Jets Fighter Museum in Adelaide are retiring and an auction of listed contents has been set for July 24 at 10:30 am.

The auction listing describes “An Extraordinary Collection of War Time & General Aviation to Incl, Vampire R.A,N Jet Plane, Pilot Less Jet Aircraft, Mirage Cockpit, Ejector Seats, Jet & Turbine Engines, Plane Components, Avionics, Paraphernalia, Uniforms, Sort After Memorabilia, Parts, Personal Items, Clothing, Art Work and more.”

MiG-21UM Cockpit For Sale: “Museum Quality, Autographed by Ace Pilots”

A “museum quality,” two-seat MiG-21UM cockpit section “autographed by Ace pilots” has hit the market. The listing states (in part):

MiG-21UM 9354. It spent half of its life in the Warsaw pact then the last half with NATO. It is autographed by US Air Force Ace “Chuck DeBellevue and US Navy ace” Duke” Cunningham, both of whom gave presentations with the cockpit. Photos are included of them both signing the cockpit and of DeBellevue sitting in the cockpit. The cockpit interior is in beautiful and original condition

The cockpit is described as including a custom built metal stand with caster wheels, a boarding stair platform, an original Polish MiG-21 boarding ladder, an original Polish MiG-21 nose intake cover, white LED cockpit floodlights for museum settings and more.
