Italeri Releases T-33A Shooting Star Model Kit With Seven Liveries

Italeri has released a lockheed T-33A Shooting Star model kit in 1/72 scale.

The kit (1444) is described as a version of the Platz T-33 released in 2012 with new decals. A total of seven liveries are offered representing machines in American (2), Italian, German, French, Spanish, and Greek-Hellenic service.

Brengun Announces Upcoming SBD Dauntless Model Kit

Hauler – Brengun has announced the upcoming release of a new Douglas SBD Dauntless model kit in 1/144 scale.

The announcement was accompanied by the above image and “Vejtasa,” suggesting that the offering will include the livery of the machine flown by WW2 ace Swede Vejtasa, which operated from USS Yorktown during the Battle of the Coral Sea in 1942.

Pricing, kit contents and a potential release date have not yet been announced.

First Look: Dora Wings’ New Tool P-43 Lancer Completed Test Build

Dora Wings has shared test build photos of their upcoming, new tool P-43 Lancer model kit in 1/48 scale.

To date, details about the upcoming kit (DW48029) are scarce, but it appears that it will include US, Chinese and RAAF markings. It will reportedly be available sometime after July 10.

Roden to Release Second New Stearman Kaydet Model Kit

Following the recent release of their Stearman PT-17 Kaydet model kit in 1/32 scale in May, Roden has announced the upcoming release of a second kit representing the Stearman PT-13/N2S-2/N2S-5 Kaydet.

As of this writing, details on the new 1/32 offering (633) are limited, although the company notes that it will “soon appear.”

First Look: Liveries, Contents For Arma’s Upcoming Wildcat VI Kit

Arma Hobby is gearing up to release the second in their series of three new Wildcat model kits in 1/72 scale.

The new Wildcat VI (70032) will follow the recent release of Arma’s FM-2 Wildcat “Expert Set” and include two livery options representing JV699/J-F, HMS Trumpeter late 1944, and JV884/B1-C ex S-C, 882 Dywizjon FAA, Sub.Lt, Frearson, HMS Searcher, August 1945, Indian Ocean.

ICM has released their new B-26C-50 model kit in 1/48 scale.

As previously reported, the kit (48284) reportedly includes highly detailed engines, armament and cockpit interior as well as marking options for three aircraft.

First Look: Sprues For Sword’s Upcoming Grumman Avenger Kits

Sword Models has released sprue images for their upcoming Grumman Avenger kits in 1/72 scale.

The kits will reportedly represent Avenger AS.4 (SW72130), TBM-3S2 Avenger (SW72131) and TBM-3R (SW72132). As previously reported, details are limited, although the offerings are slated for release sometime at the end of June.

Revell has released a new boxing of their B-25D Mitchell model kit in 1/48 scale.

The “highly detailed, Level 5” offering (04977) reportedly includes a detailed interior and engines, bomb loading, and livery options representing two B-25D machines from 345 Bomb Group.

Eduard Announces Upcoming Release of New Tool “Dual Combo” Spitfire Mk.I Kit

Eduard has provided additional details on their upcoming, new tool Spitfire Mk.I model kit in 1/48 scale.

The new offering, dubbed “The Spitfire Story” (11143) will reportedly be released as a limited edition “dual combo” kit focused on machines from its introduction into service to the end of Battle of the Britain. It will include two sets of plastic to build two models in the boxing as well as a resin figure of Douglas Bader.
