A 1969 Grumman OV-1D Mohawk (N605HF S/N 69-17005) has hit the market.

The aircraft is described as “complete” with the installed engines being available separately. It has been stored in a hangar since its last flight in 2013 and is considered “an excellent project for the right organization.” The airframe has a total time of 4496 while the two engines have 3463 and 3469 hours.

1942 Douglas C-47C N4550J Offered For Sale

Douglas C-47C N4550J (S/N 6055) is available for sale.

The aircraft entered service in 1942, operating with US Command North Africa and the 9th US Army Air Force based in France. Following WW2, it served with Aigle Azur Airlines as well as various French and African operators before returning to the US in 1983. In 2015 it was acquired by the Russian Aviation Company and flown to Russia.

Features dual control and flight panel, electric loading winch and a wide cargo door. Heated cabin. Documents are available. Avgas 100LL consumption at the cruise speed of 200 km/h and load of 2,000 kg is 380 liters. Good condition of exterior skin and interior. Technically sound. Airframe: Total flight hours – 31,200 hours. No service life limit. Condition-based use. No major damage has been suffered. Engines: 2xPratt-Whitney R-1830-90D, 1,200 h.p. each, time between overhaul – 1,600 hours, time to overhaul – 1,099/1,006 (left/right). Propellers: automatic Hamilton Standard Hydromatic 23E50, time between overhaul – 2,000 hours, residual life – 1,708/1,708 (left/right).

1946 Piper Cub “Complete Project Minus Prop” Offered For Sale

A 1946 Piper J-3 Cub project has hit the market. The listing states (in part):

Log Books start in 1951-1971 Total time: 5406 Engine TT: 1300 +/-. This was a Flying cub in 2017. Bought from estate sale, Some missing logs for engine and airframe, good AD list for airframe and engine. Aircraft has Certified copies of All 8130’s from FAA including Airworthiness and All registered owners from 1946 to present. Engine is A-65-8F (65HP) with flanged Crankshaft and is complete. I have not run engine, but it does turn free. Needs propeller 1A90CF or 1B90CM McCauley. Fabric is Ceconite 102 and was done in 2000 along with Airframe. Etched and primed (8130). Fabric has some small tears that can be patched. Airframe has new tinted windows all around. Spars are wood and have 8130. Airframe has NAV lights and had a battery. This is a complete project (minus propeller)

TA-7C Corsair II Project Offered For Sale

A Vought / LTV TA-7C Corsair II aircraft project has been spotted for sale.

The project aircraft (BuNo. 154544), a dual control trainer version of the A-7, reportedly began life as an A-7B and flew Vietnam Combat Cruises with VA-56 aboard USS Midway and VA-215 aboard USS Oriskany. It was converted to an TA-7C in 1974. The listing states (in part):

The aircraft was de-milled per government regulations when sold through the DRMO. The aircraft was very low time when surplused, and has been hangared continually since the USN surplused her. Over many years, she has been pieced together for static display. Only a few parts are missing. Included is the entire airframe, both ejection seats original to this aircraft, 80-90% of the cockpit instrumentation, as well as many other internal and external parts and pieces. Provided with the aircraft project is a genuine USN tow-bar, many spares and extra parts, including: pylons, panels, and a vertical stabilizer. Not included most notably is the TF-41A2 engine and some other internal parts.

The machine has had one owner for over 20 years and is described as a “time-capsule aircraft” with turret and operational bomb doors. The airframe reportedly has 3,488 hrs TTSNEW while the engine has 900 Hrs SMOH. It includes an avionics package as well as equipment including 3” horizon, 3” DG, preoiler, 8 replica rockets, glass in good condition, recent tires, recent brakes, two replica bombs under wings and hi capacity Stratopower hydraulic pump.

North American F-86F Offered For Sale With Reduced Price

North American F-86F N86FR has been re-listed for sale with a reduced price.

The machine was manufactured in 1952 and delivered to FA Argentina as C-109 in 1960. It was recovered from Argentina and assembled in Coleman, TX in 1989, receiving its FAA airworthiness certificate the following year. It is now registered as N86FR and flown as USAF/SkyBlazers 31201 (FU-201).

The airframe reportedly has 4417.4 Hrs TTSNEW, while the GE J-47-GE-27 engine (5970 # Thrust) has 402 Hours SMOH. The machine includes an avionics package as well as two 120 gallon wing aux tanks, smoke system, strobe lights, vertical card compass, recent tires, excellent canopy glass and ELT. Rare Yak-1 Project “With An Incredible Combat History” Offered For Sale

A rare Yak-1 project “with an incredible combat history” is currently available for sale.

According to the listing, the aircraft (G-BTZD S/N 1342, 485 Fighter Regiment) landed on Polonets Lake in the Demlansk area of northern Russia in December 1942 after suffering damage caused by German fighter fire. The lake was frozen at the time and it is believed that the pilot, Flying Officer Michael Kudrjashov, escaped and returned to Russian lines. The machine sank in the spring thaw and settled in 18 meters of water, where it remained until being recovered in October 1990.
