W.A.R. Fw 190 Project For Sale: “Comes With Continental 200-A Engine”

A project with paperwork identifying it as a War Aircraft Replicas Fw 190 has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

Vintage Aircraft —in its build stage. I believe this is a Focke-Wulf FW-190 replica but that is my best guess and I know very little about this plane overall. Comes with Continental 200-A engine.

The W.A.R. Fw 190 is a half-scale homebuilt replica of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter. The project is located in Seattle, Washington and is currently available for US $12,000 although offers are also being accepted. HobbyBoss to Release New Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 Model Kit

HobbyBoss will reportedly release their new 1/48 Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 model kit this month.

Fw 190A-8 was a late-war, single-seat German fighter-bomber variant of the famous “Würger” that became the most numerous of all Fw 190 subtypes. It was introduced in 1944 and used extensively for Reich air defense and ground-attack duties. Powered by the BMW 801 radial engine and fitted in many aircraft with a nitrous-oxide (GM‑1 or similar C3-injection) emergency boost system, it offered strong low- to medium-altitude performance, making it effective against Allied bombers below about 7,000 m. Typical armament combined two 13 mm MG 131 machine guns in the cowling with four 20 mm MG 151/20 cannons in the wings, with some sub-variants adding 30 mm MK 108 cannon and underwing bombs or rockets for heavy bomber interception and close air support. As an evolution of the A-7, the A-8 incorporated minor airframe and systems changes while retaining the wide-track undercarriage and rugged construction that made the Fw 190 series popular with Luftwaffe pilots.

The kit (81782) consists of over 120 parts and is touted as accurate and detailed. The released images show two livery options, painting masks and PE parts. Click below to check out build images, livery profiles and some kit contents.

“Untouched, Complete, Very Rare” Fw 190 Sliding Canopy Offered For Sale

Vienna-based historic aircraft builders Craftlab have listed for sale a Focke Wulf 190 sliding canopy.

The canopy is described as “untouched, complete” and “a very rare museum piece.” Serious inquiries are being accepted and interested parties can contact the seller at craftlab@craftlab.at.

A full scale, 2006 Focke Wulf Fw 190A (D-FWUB) has hit the market. The listing states (in part):

This is a Marcel Jurca 1:1 Scale built Focke Wulf featuring a 1380 P&W Twin radial engine producing 1180 HP. The AC has been built by a professionel Pilot over more than a decade and it has already starting flying ist test Programm. Over the last 3 years the AC underwent substantial improvements.

Exceedingly Rare, Original Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D Blind Instrument Panel Offered For Sale

A blind instrument panel described as a 100% complete, original example from a Focke-Wulf Fw 190D has hit the market.

The listing notes that Fw 190 instrument panels are rare, although Fw 190 D, or “Dora” examples are even harder to find. All instruments are said to be original to the panel while wood and paint are WW2 vintage. The panel is reportedly in very good condition with the gauges still glowing in the dark after 70+ years.
