1942 Hawker Hurricane Mk IIB 5481 Offered For Sale

Hawker Hurricane XII/IIB S/N 5481 (VH-JFW) has hit the market. The listing states (in part):

An Original CC&F Hurricane Completely Restored And Flying For The Past 27 Years. This Hurricane Recently Underwent A Major IRAN Including All New Wood, Fabric, Paint, Overhauled Propeller And Radiators.

The airframe reportedly has 209.9 hrs since restoration and 22.2 hrs since major IRAN, including all new wood, fabric, paint, overhauled propeller and radiators. The Rolls Royce Merlin 500/45 engine reportedly has 209.9 SMOH by Vintage V-12s and 22.2 Hrs STOH.

The aircraft is shown above in 2006 while wearing the colors of Mk I P2970 “Little Willie.” In 2014, the machine was restored by Vintage Fighter Restorations of Australia and now represents V6748, flown by John Dallas Crossman of 32 and 46 Squadrons.
