A 1946 Aeronca Champ 7AC airframe project has been spotted for sale.

According to the listing the aircraft, which has 7,021 hours total time, suffered tornado damage to the rear fuselage but retains an undamaged forward cabin, engine mount, firewall, gear, and most structural components. The left wing has minor dents and bent lift struts, while the right wing shows only light scuffs. Covered in modern Poly-Fiber, the aircraft features a clean interior with complete instruments and dual controls. Extensive documentation is included—logbooks back to 1957, FAA airworthiness certificate, bill of sale, and maintenance paperwork.

The plane is legal to fly into, Class B and C airspaces and above 10000 feet with its brand new uAvionix Skybeacon Transmitter and port side red position light. This combined with the Narco AT150 Mode C transponder will make this bird ADS-B compliant. ADS-B IN is done with a Sentry ADS-B IN Receiver linked to a iPad Mini by WIFI. On the Mini I use Foreflight to See other aircraft in ADS-B IN Traffic, Navigate to airports, plan vertical navigation, use checklists, etc. Communication and Navigation is also facilitated by a Garmin GNC 3000 XL GPS/COM, that will allow you to input waypoints for a custom route. The Frequency toggle will allow you to rapidly switch to a preset frequency or store a frequency. This Bird wants to Travel. The plane offers Good Range Speed, Comfort, Simplicity, and Economical operation when compared to other planes its size.

1946 Piper J3C-65 Cub Project For Sale

A 1946 Piper J3C-65 Cub project has been spotted for sale.

According to the listing, the aircraft is equipped with an A-75 engine (2,900 total time, 329 since overhaul). It has complete logbooks since 1959, as well as other paperwork. Originally purchased new by a WWII veteran and kept in Minnesota ever since, it received major updates in the 1990s, including metal wing spars and late model Cleveland double-puck wheels and brakes, along with newer additions such as shoulder harnesses and custom embroidered seats. The plane suffered minor, low-speed taxi damage this summer when the left gear struck a sign, resulting in a curled left gear leg and slight deformation to the left wing’s forward spar face, but with no apparent fuselage, right-side or visible engine damage. The aircraft remains clean and largely intact—essentially a repair project—with original instrumentation, undamaged glass, and a bent metal prop from idle speed contact. Sold with a current FAA Bill of Sale and Airworthiness Certificate.
