Also comes with a brand new box of complete install kit for C85. Also has large new tail wheel recently installed and has large balloon tires for on and off airport landings… Also have smaller tires that comes with it if you want to swap out. Comes with nice handheld radio, colored GPS, 2 place intercom, multi batteries, plugs and accessories for cross country flying. “Barn Find” 1939 Aeronca 65C Super Chief Project For Sale

A “barn find” 1939 Aeronca 65C Super Chief project has been spotted for sale. The listing states:

Barn find. Looks complete but needs work. Aircraft will have FAA bill of sale, and has current registration. Serial number is 4939. I am told the Super Chief has a larger A65 engine and might be a little more rare. At least some of the wood spars have rot, but I am told new spars are available at Aircraft Spruce. At least two wing ribs have rodent damage. Fabric was cotton and not good. Fuselage wood stringers are bowed from dope shrinkage, but wood bulkheads look good (see pic). Cowl and nose bowl are there (nose bowl is on top of one wing, see pic). Wood prop and prop retainer goes with it, but don’t know prop condition. Currently, brake lining is stuck onto brake drums. Excellent 1946 Aeronca Champ. 7AC to 7BCM conversion done in Jan ’00, with new Ceconite fabric, paint, continental 0-200 conversion and 5 gallon each wingtanks. Engine was overhauled in 2015 by Jewell Aviation after a starter drive came apart, everything except the main cases was replaced. See photo. Has skytek lightweight starter. Millennium Cylinders. 69 hours since major. Less than a year old trig TY91 radio with intercom. Front stick has PTT. Runs great, flies great. Still light sport eligable. Always hangared. 4889 TTAF 69 SMOH

This is the barn find of the year. This bonanza has 1900ttaf and 900 smoh prop is 900 as well. found in hanger in Arizona with a inch of dust on it. the plane was bought as a flying example of a nice bonanza by a iunrated pilot that was working on his private. he took out the interior to have it redone and he took out the gauges in the panel to redo the panel in 1979 and of coarse he never reinstalled the stuff but he bought all brand new cables and gauges to go back in i have every nut and bolt and new cables and gauges to go back in. this plane has zero corrosion and is all original from 1979 i have all log books the engine runs smooth and starts right up i am in process of in depth annual. All new tires and tubes gear swings nice this is a very orig bonanza just waiting for someone to put the interior back in and put panel gauges in. Other than that it just doesnt really need a anything. no annual since 1979 very good low time plane that just needs a few things and you have a 50k plus airplane
