This 1946 Aeronca 11BC Chief has just undergone a fresh annual and a major engine overhaul with zero-time SMOH on the C85-8F. With 3,019 total hours, this two-seat classic features Stewarts fabric, EC conversion, aux fuel tank, and logs back to 1993. The airframe was thoroughly inspected, fabric tested, and repainted. Interior rates 9/10, exterior 8/10, and all ADs are up to date. A beautiful antique aircraft that’s ready to fly and enjoy.

…would prefer to sell all as one lot. Both are complete aircraft. The blue and white one had a ground loop and damaged left gear and did minor tubing and fabric damage and luckily no wing damage. The other one just has been sitting for 10 years. I will assist with shipping and will consider delivery for short distance… Both has logs and current registrations.

1946 Aeronca Chief 11-AC N9432E Last annual April 2013 airframe 1623.88 TT engine 1623.88 SN Aircraft was stored covered and flown regularly until 2013. Wings were removed for transport. Will need new aileron cables and the fuel system flushed, possibly the carburetor rebuilt as it has the autogas STC. It will need the wing strut treated for corrosion and inspected per the AD or replaced, reduced price $1000 to accommodate this. Aircraft and fabric in good condition only selling to get my ATP-CTP complete for a job. Have all log books since new.

A 1946 Aeronca 11AC (BC) Chief described as “ready to fly home” has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

Clean airplane which had the spar and covering done 2017 .All logs in a binder. I have original wheel pants, gear fairing and original spinner (off for paint) and many extras. Garmin GPS/Com GNC 300, Garmin Transponder GTX 327 with mode C. mode S and ADSB available on unit, Hard wired intercom and phone jacks with music input etc.. ELT. Original panel… no cut ins. Continental C-85 hand start (first flip), 80 octane minimum but I run on 100LL. 5gal/hour fuel burn. 15 gal front tank, 8 gal rear tank. Heel brakes, disk brakes. Burns no oil. Coming up on 500 hours SMOH. Compression high 70s. Airframe TT1900. McCauley cruise prop (started to polish). Good tires. Does 110 mph. 500 FPM 2 adults. Grandfathered in….. no ADSB required!! Daily flyer and conversation piece. I am third owner since new. Fresh annual. Battery and trickle charger installed and good for 7 hours. However, I have a wind generator just not installed yet. Many new parts I have that can be installed when needed. I buy them when available. Oil change every 20 hours. Quick drain.

All logs back to 1953. AFTT 1635, Engine 222 SMOH. Rear auxiliary tank. A65-8 engine. Only 47 hrs. since restoration in 2006 including new interior, fabric, and paint. Many updates and always hangered. Light Sport Eligible. MGL radio with headset jacks, external antenna, and battery available with sale. As typical for this vintage, aircraft has no electrical system and is very simple. Hand prop first or second throw. Includes main wheel pants. Annual completed Febr. 2020. Solid aircraft and flies great.
