This 1946 Aeronca 11BC Chief has just undergone a fresh annual and a major engine overhaul with zero-time SMOH on the C85-8F. With 3,019 total hours, this two-seat classic features Stewarts fabric, EC conversion, aux fuel tank, and logs back to 1993. The airframe was thoroughly inspected, fabric tested, and repainted. Interior rates 9/10, exterior 8/10, and all ADs are up to date. A beautiful antique aircraft that’s ready to fly and enjoy.

A 1946 Aeronca Chief has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

Serial# 11AC-1223. The plane was left by my late grandfather. Has a Continental A65 motor and is a prop off. The plane was last flown prior to Katrina and has 5 hours on engine, was prepped for long-term storage. Some minor damage to the rear vertical stabilizer wing and to one main wing. The fabric is still tight, plane will need to be reassembled and gone through. Comes with 5 crates of parts including parts for 2 A65 motors. Additional items include schematics for another plane and a slew of instruments and additional fabric
