For Sale: “Rare and Historic” P-51C / Mustang III Currently Under Restoration

1943 North American P-51C-1-NT S/N 42-103100 (N426QA) is available for sale. The listing states (in part):

In 2001 Pacific Fighters purchased the remains of FB 206. After 5 different Razorback Mustang restorations completed by Pacific Fighters it is finally time for FB 206s turn. As of 2020 FB 206s fuselage has been structurally completed and a large amount of B/C model parts have been acquired. Its has been a dream of the Pacific Fighters crew to complete this one of a kind and historically significant Mustang Mk III back to flying condition.

As of this writing, the fuselage is reportedly “95% structurally completed.” Additional features include a Malcolm Hood kit (minus the bubble), rear half moon canopies, one set of unrestored, original P-51B/C fabric covered elevators (very rare).

Kermit Weeks Releases Second Episode of Q & A Video Series

Fantasy of Flight’s Kermit Weeks has released the second installment of his “Kerime Q’s” video series which answers select questions from his YouTube channel videos.

The second episode sees Kermit responding to questions on the P-51C paint scheme which were raised after the first episode. He then answers a broad selection of questions dealing with Hurricane Andrew and it’s aftermath, progress on the S-38 and Fokker D.VII, acquisition of the Seversky P-35, and much more.

Kermit Weeks Answers Popular Viewer Questions in New Video Series

Fantasy of Flight owner Kermit Weeks has launched a new (hopefully monthly) video series dubbed “Kermie Q’s” which sets out to answer popular questions asked by viewers of his YouTube channel.

The newly released first episode focuses heavily on his his P-51C, which has proven to be his most viewed video series, although a number of additional topics are also covered. Click below to check it out.
