Authentic FULL SCALE Nieuport 17 for sale. AP/IA built. Wooden wings, 4130 tubular steel fuselage. 68 hours TT. Rotec R3600 150hp motor with 19 hours TT since new. Culver mahogany 90″ prop. Adorned in the colors of Lafayette Escadrille ace American Raoul Lufbery. Reproduction Vickers machine gun. Equipped with interchangeable tailwheel and skid. Built from Redfern, Aermacchi and Rozendaal drawings. Radio/headgear receptacle. First flown in 2004.

A “full-size” Nieuport 17 static reproduction has hit the market. The listing states:

Includes with replica Le Rhone rotary engine and wooden prop, this aircraft weighs only 370 pounds! Hand-formed aluminum cowl, British markings, Vickers machine gun (non-firing, of course). Built by an artist, it includes a great piece of original, hand-painted art on the fuselage. Includes simulated (and real) “battle damage”. NON AIRWORTHY, but completely DISPLAY WORTHY.
