For Sale: Canberra T4 Cockpit Section Restoration Project

Please Note: This is an archived post. The information presented here may not be current and the associated listing may no longer be active.

The cockpit section for English Electric Canberra T4 WT486 has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

486 was in a very sorry state when I found her, but I’ve spent a lot of time finding original parts to try to put her right again. Externally she received a replacement canopy and equipment hatch, has been reassembled, tidied up and repainted to her current appearance as per the photos. Internally I have sourced replacement yokes and throttles, instruments, panels and seats to give those who see her a fair idea on what she was like in service… Included in the sale is a spare replacement canopy which is not currently fitted, which is beautifully clear and will be ideal to fit on completion of her restoration… There is also the correct and original Martin Baker 2CA ejection seat in the rear for the Navigator, and a correct Martin Baker 3CT ejection seat in the Pilots/Pupils position. There will not be an Instructor’s seat included in the sale… I also have a couple of boxes of Canberra cockpit parts which will be included but are not pictured here.

The section is located in Westbury, United Kingdom and is currently available for bidding. Click here to check out the listing on eBay.
