A 1958 Piper PA-22 airframe has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

1958 Piper PA-22/20 Pacer airframe, 3185 TT, mods, beautiful, lite damage. This is a very, very nice Tripacer converted to conventional gear… this airplane was stripped of fabric in 2004, the frame was cleaned and primed and all fabric was replaced with PolyFiber… also in 2004, the interior was replaced with a soft cloth in light tan, new seatbelts installed, the instruments upgraded to all modern gyros in a new metal panel, and the airplane basically freshened everywhere! Hangered ever since… the last annual inspection just expired 7/1/2021… sold with FAA bill of sale, all of the airframe logs since new, lots of other paperwork and the actual original FAA airworthiness certificate from 1958!

Registration is expired & cancelled HOWEVER, AIC title company has handled getting it back to date. proof of submission included in pictures. Airplane will be registered again with the same N number. A “custom built, one of a kind, World War 1 inspired biplane” airframe has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

This is a custom built, one of a kind, World War 1 inspired biplane! 2 Place, side by side, 32″ wide cockpit. It was built by an experienced, award winning builder John B. Shively… This plane is not registered and will be sold as parts. It comes with a detailed builder’s log with images and calculations. It was constructed with Sitka Spruce and had a Lycoming o-235-c1 (not included). Aircraft was completed in 2007, but from my understanding was never flown. Fabric tested and is still in good condition… Get her flying quickly or keep as an amazing work of art. Wings off and ready to be transported… Aircraft is essentially complete, minus engine and propeller, which are not included in the auction. Being sold AS IS. Aircraft is not registered with the FAA and will not be sold with FAA aircraft bill of sale, sold as parts only.

This aircraft sustained damage when the engine lost power and was forced to set down short of the runway… The current total time is 4,483. Polyfiber fabric on the whole ship, many, many, many new parts, with loads of receipts. Even though we don’t have the original logs, we have something which may be neater, a complete historical record of every piece of paper filed about this airplane from the beginning, including the original mortgage in 1940, the first annual in 1941 and years worth of additional annuals , sales records, etc., a small books worth! Great reading! And also 337’s, including those from the 1940’s before they were numbered 337! And AD complience and service bulletins, plus service manual, parts manual and owners manuals… This is a great rebuild project, or parts donor for another project.

The C-75 in this airplane has 1,368 hours since major overhaul, but only 149 hours since the installation of 4 brnd new cylinders (top overhaul). As you would expect, the compressions at the last annual, performed 6/1 2021 were fantastic at 78/80 across the board!

Excellent 1946 Aeronca Champ. 7AC to 7BCM conversion done in Jan. 2000, with new Ceconite fabric, paint, Continental 0-200 conversion and 5 gallon wing tanks. Engine was overhauled in 2015 by Jewell Aviation after a starter drive came apart. Everything except the main cases was replaced. Has Skytec lightweight starter and Millennium cylinders. Approx. 70 hrs. since major. Recently installed Trig TY91 radio with intercom. Front stick has PTT. Runs great, Flies great. Still light sport eligible. Always hangared. Approx 4890 TTAF

1947 Beech Bonanza For Sale: “Not a Ramp Queen or Sitter”

A 1947 Beech Bonanza described as “not a ramp queen or sitter” has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

6696TT, 400 SMOH E-225, Hartzell hydraulic 400 SPOH, no damage or prop strike, cheap!… The spar carry-through has had a beef-up kit added. The wobble fuel pump has been made obsolete by the addition of a proper weldon electric pump. 10 gallon fuselage tank for an extra hour of flight. And the 2 big changes; the E-185 engine was converted to 225 H.P. at the last overhaul. And the prop was replaced with a Hartzell constant speed, which was overhauled and upgraded with new clamps and shank modifications in accordance with AD 97-18-02 to eliminate the ongoing inspections! This aircraft has been well maintained, with 1 shop doing all the annuals from 2001 to 2012, and another all annuals from 2013 to 2019, when the airplane was sold. The last annual was performed 12/1/20, which just expired 2 months ago on 12/31/2021.

The machine is reportedly sold with “logbooks since day 1, 10/22/1947 to the present for the airframe, engine from 1947 to the present, separate prop log from 2012 to the present plus 2002 upgrade to eliminate AD. Plus a super nicely organized binder with 337’s, weight and balance, ad compliance, etc., etc. Plus a box full of supporting paperwork and manuals! And the FAA bill of sale! A 1939 Piper J-3 Cub project has been spotted for sale. The listing states:

TTAF2350, C90 SMOH 315, was ground looped into a snowbank, wood prop strike, crank measures .0001 runout, right wing leading edge spar broke, but can be spliced, some rib & tip damage, aileron OK, left wing aileron and attachment point damaged, fuselage skylight broken & tube bent, the rest of the fuselage appears OK along with motor mounts, firewall, exhaust and landing gear (grove brake conversion). Plane recovered and restored 2005 with new wing spars, ribs, leading edge, fuel tank, pulleys, cables & fairleads. New front & rear seats, new windshield, overhauled engine and new propeller, Marvel carb., new spring loaded sealing push rod tubes, Airtech covering process with Ceconite.
