1946 Cessna 140, airframe, 3,714 TT, flipped after touchdown, fabric wings, lots of extras, cheap! This 1946 140 has a polished fuselage, Ceconite covered wings, and lots of upgrades, including Cleveland 600×6 wheels and brakes and a Scott 3200 tailwheel assembly… sold with logbooks since brand new, 9/13/1946 to the present, plus plenty of receipts, AD compliance sheets, weight and balance, 337’s etc.

1949 Cessna 140A Project For Sale: “O-290 Conversion, Upgrades”

A 1949 Cessna 140A project has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

This 140A has a bunch of desirable upgrades… with the most desirable being its Lycoming O-290-D2B conversion (STC SA4-640). This conversion cranks up the power from 90HP to 140HP to make for a hot rod 140. The benefits include a 25% decreased take off run, 200ft per minute higher climb rate, 10 mph cruise speed increase, 10 mph top speed increase, and better performance at altitude all while sipping 6-6.5 gallons per hour! The engine was prop struck during transport, so it wasn’t under power when it occurred, but will need a prop strike inspection.

Airframe: 1949 Cessna 140A SN: 15227; Registration: N9406A; Aircraft TT: 4465.97 Hours; Last Annual: 10-9-2022; Logbooks from 1957-Current; Repainted 1993 along with airframe refurbishment, skin replacements, etc.; Useful Load: 361lbs.
