Cessna 120, 140, 150 Inventory For Sale: “Fuselages, Wings, Engines and More”

A “huge inventory” has been spotted for sale that is offered as a “a turn-key opportunity to become one of the largest Cessna 120 / 140 / 150 parts dealers in the country.”

Each aircraft in this group is unique in some way. Some have engines and props. Some are complete airplanes missing engines and props. Most are sitting on landing gear with brakes and tires. Gear extenders and Cleveland wheels are common amongst these fuselages. This is a diverse group of aircraft in various stages of completeness. There is a HUGE inventory of parts in this lot. We have a whole box of log books, registrations, records, etc. Some are quite complete and others are more minimal. Some fuselages are missing logs and records altogether. For seven of the aircraft we have the Bill of Sale and the buyer can re-register the aircraft… Cessna 140A N9431A; Cessna 140A N462A; Cessna 140 N72287; Cessna 140 N76885; Cessna 140 N3736V; Cessna 120 N81040; Cessna 150A N7151X. I have this complete 1946 Luscombe. The propeller was stolen right off the plane at the airport in 1979 and the owner rebuild the motor and put the plane in Storage. It has been in storage ever since. The only parts missing is one of the wing struts and the propeller along with the bolts to bolt the wings back on… I did buy this airplane from a Storage lot auction so I will be able to get clean registration. I do have all the logbooks since the plane was new, and owned by a church and used for missionary aviation… This plane is virtually corrosion free.

Great War Aviation Society Releases 2024 Calendar

Our friends at The Great War Aviation Society (Cross & Cockade International) have released their new, 25th edition calendar for 2024.

The full-color, 298 mm x 210 mm (A4) 2024 installment includes 12 stunning, full-color works created by luminaries within the field of WW1 aviation art, such as Graham Turner. Graham was awarded first prize for Best First World War Aviation Picture at the Guild of Aviation Artists’ Annual Summer Exhibition in June 2023 for his painting Letord Let.5, which is the featured painting for March.

The calendar has been compiled and produced by Roger Tisdale since 1999 and continues to sell out yearly. Roger comments, “It’s a labour of love compiling the annual calendar, making sure that there is an eclectic mix of aircraft and styles to suit all tastes.”

As with previous years, proceeds will assist in the upkeep of the British Air Services Memorial at St Omer, which was erected by the society in 2004 to commemorate the 8,000 airmen who gave their lives in France and Flanders during WW1. Peter Dye, President of the Great War Aviation Society, said, “Our mission is to explore, preserve and share information on this fascinating period, ensuring that the aircraft, aviators, ground crew, and their sacrifices are never forgotten. The British Air Services Memorial is a permanent tribute to these early aviation pioneers. We are honoured to be able to help financially maintain the Memorial, so that it remains ‘fit for heroes’.”

1959 Beech K-35 Bonanza Airframe, 7,590 TT, nose gear collapsed, for parts or rebuild! Talk about a fresh airplane, the last entry in the logbooks for this bonanza is May 13th of 2023! The owner of this airplane appears to have made the classic mistake, and retracted his gear as he was completing his rollout, when he meant to retract the flaps!… The owner of the airplane removed the prop struck engine with accessories, the bent propellor, the ruddervators, and the avionics… still installed are the undamaged flaps, ailerons and v tail stabilators… sold with airframe logbooks since brand new in 1959 to the present, with the annual still current by date until February 2024! This is not an old sitter, it has been in regular and recent use!
