A 1940 Taylorcraft BC-65 airframe project has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):
This aircraft sustained damage when the engine lost power and was forced to set down short of the runway… The current total time is 4,483. Polyfiber fabric on the whole ship, many, many, many new parts, with loads of receipts. Even though we don’t have the original logs, we have something which may be neater, a complete historical record of every piece of paper filed about this airplane from the beginning, including the original mortgage in 1940, the first annual in 1941 and years worth of additional annuals , sales records, etc., a small books worth! Great reading! And also 337’s, including those from the 1940’s before they were numbered 337! And AD complience and service bulletins, plus service manual, parts manual and owners manuals… This is a great rebuild project, or parts donor for another project.
The aircraft is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is currently available for US $3,995, although bids are also being accepted. Click here to check out the listing, which includes many additional photos and a detailed overview of the damage.
