Collection of Historic Aircraft, Cockpits, Parts, WW1 Ultralights To Be Auctioned

An auction is reportedly set to take place at at Western PA Warbirds Museum in Mercer, Pennsylvania which includes “historic and replica aircraft, instruments and parts.” Available items reportedly include:

Beech 18, Ercoupe 415C, 1939 Taylorcraft (Project), Phantom F-4 Cockpit, Stinson Ambulance Model L-5 fuselage, F-86H fuselage, 2 Hawker Hunter fuselages, 7/8’s scale partial or fully built WWI ultralights– SE-5A, Nieuport 11, Fokker D-8, Spad 13, Nieuport 17. Hundreds of F-86 parts.

Beechcraft 11—complete fuselage, door, wings, landing gear and tail, but no engines or instruments. Manufactured in September 1946 as A-274 D18S with Registration # NC80374 and sold to Roscoe Turner Aeronautical Corporation, then to several subsequent owners before coming to the Western PA Warbirds Museum in November 2003.

Replica WWI British SE-5A Ultralight Project, 7/8’s scale, built from plans by Squadron Aviation, Columbus, Ohio. Fuselage, wings, landing gear and engine—great project. Not FAA registered.

F-86 H front fuselage with canopy frame (no Plexiglas) and tail aspirator.

Replica WWI French Nieuport 11 Ultralight Project, 7/8’s scale, kit built from Graham Lee’s Circa Reproductions plans. Fuselage and cables for the ailerons, rudder, elevators and tail wheel are in place with steerable tail wheel. Wings will need added flying wires and some wing struts completed. No motor mount, but gas tank in place. Plans provided. Not FAA registered.

Replica WWI German Fokker D – 8 Ultralight Project, ¾’s scale—lacking engine and instruments. Built from Airdrome Aeroplane plans, Holden, Missouri. Plans included.

WWI French Nieuport 17 ultralight replica, complete, 7/8’s scale, built in 1999 from Graham Lee’s Circa Reproductions plans and purchased from builder in November 2002. FAA registered through Aug. 2019. FAA Registration # N110HT, Serial # 001. 65 HP Volkswagen Engine produced by Great Plains Aircraft Model Type 1, VFR Panel installed. Has flown but not since 2002. Construction photos and all original purchase documents included.
