“First Generation, Rare” Hawker Hunter Mk 1 F.1 Offered For Sale

A “first generation, rare” Hawker Hunter Mk 1 F.1 has hit the market. The listing states (in part):

WT660 is complete with All cockpit instrumentation and Ejection seat. Cockpit has been restored some years ago and there is an engine available at extra cost. There was a brand new canopy fitted along with brand new front glass and side screens, and I also have another. Brand new canopy if required. The aircraft has been stripped of all old paintwork so would require repainted. There is no jet pipe available.

Four Hawker Hunter Variants Offered For Sale

Four examples of the Hawker Hunter have been spotted for sale, including an F. Mk6A, T. Mk7, T. Mk8A, and T. Mk8C.

The F. Mk6A (ZU-AUJ / XE653) first flew in 1956 and reportedly spent nearly five years with 111 Squadron’s Black Arrows display team. It was one of 22 Hunters that performed the record-breaking formation loop at the 1958 Farnborough Air Show. According to the listing it is powered by Rolls Royce Avon Mk 207C – 15 stage axial flow turbojet rated at 10 200 pounds of thrust.

Cold War-Era Hawker Hunter GA.11 Offered For Sale

Hawker Hunter GA.11 XF301 has hit the market.

The aircraft is described as an ex-Royal Navy team “Rough Diamonds” machine with only 3,325 hrs in its logbook. The offering reportedly consists of the complete cockpit and fuselage which are currently in storage in the US. Logbooks are also said to be included, but no engine.
