A 1952 Cessna 170B has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

This 1952 Cessna 170B, N2448D, serial #20600, has been sitting outside at Torrance Airport, Zamperini Field (TOA) in Southern California, and not flown since 1992. It is being sold as an unairworthy project or parts plane. In addition to being very complete it has; BAS inertia reel shoulder harnesses, wingtip strobes, KMA24 Audio panel, KX125 Nav/Com, Terra TX760D Com, KT76A transponder, PS Engineering Intercom, PTT on both yokes, updated interior and glass. Logs are complete from factory delivery 1952, show wind damage history on 1/23/60, with repairs made with Cessna parts. The last log entry was for annual on 10/9/92, tach time: 1179.5, Total Time Aircraft & Engine: 1320

The 1952 Cessna 170B, often referred to as the “Super Cessna,” is a well-maintained, classic aircraft with a total time airframe (TTAF) of 4556 hours. It features a 180 hp Lycoming engine with only 192 hours since its last overhaul in 2015, ensuring reliable performance. The aircraft is equipped with a constant speed propeller, also with 192 hours since its last overhaul in 2015, and includes a Horton stall kit for enhanced performance. Additionally, this Cessna 170B comes with EDO 2000 floats and straight skis that are like new, making it ideal for various flying conditions. The plane also includes an engine analyzer for monitoring performance. The most recent annual inspection was completed in July 2024, ensuring the aircraft is in top flying condition.
