A 1936 Piper J-2 Cub has been spotted for sale. The listing states:
Very acrobatic and sporty because it has a 65 horse Continental and weighs 200 lbs less than a Piper J-3. Also includes vintage stock 40 horse Continental. Some of the parts alone are worth $10k a piece. Well running airplane by mechanic owner. Draws a crowd at every air show. Nice paint. 4 gauges on panel: Altimeter, Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, Tachometer. Charity owned, so proceeds benefit people in extreme poverty.
Some fabric of interior of cabin needs replaced but all the canvas of the exterior is in good shape. Plexiglass windshield has some cracks, but overall well maintained.
The aircraft is located in Shiloh, North Carolina and is currently being offered for US $19,000, although offers are also being accepted. Click here to check out the complete listing.
