A “Genuine U.S. Navy” T-2C Buckeye flight trainer cockpit has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):
This does not currently function as a flight sim and is for static display. It could possibly be converted to a working sim. The cockpit/instrument lights illuminate, canopy opens and closes wit air pressure from a separate air compressor and the ejection seat adjust up/down. This is an actual training device that was used to train Navy and Marine Corps pilots. A piece of Naval Aviation history. Has been restored but keep in mind this unit is over 40 years old and has some age, wear and handling issues that affect appearance.
The trainer is located in Gonzalez, Florida and is currently available for US$6,899, although bids are also being accepted. Click here to check out the complete listing on eBay.
