North American TF-51 Mustang S/N 44-73871 (D-FTSI), described as “one of the nicest dual control TF-51 Mustangs in the world” has hit the market.
The airframe reportedly has 377 hrs since restoration by Pioneer Aero, Chino, CA (fuselage converted to full dual control configuration per TEMCO Specifications), while the Packard -1650-7 (w/ -9 Heads & Banks, Roush Pistons, Merlin Fingers) has 150 hrs SMOH by Vintage V-12s.
The machine is newly refinished by by Meier Motors in Germany and now has a polished fuselage / painted wings with markings representing “Double Trouble Two” of 353rd FG. Additional equipment reportedly includes P-63 wheels and brakes, landing gear handle, starter, primer in rear cockpit.
