A T-34B Mentor fuselage project has been spotted for saler. The listing states (in part):
This is a Beechcraft T-34B Mentor fuselage that was recovered by the famous warbird collector Walter Soplata in Ohio. This aircraft has a valid, legal data plate! If you are a T-34 enthusiast you know that the US Navy made most military base flying clubs turn in the fuselages for destruction / scrapping when the T-34 was withdrawn from Navy flying clubs… This airplane was used by recruiters to travel the country visiting universities and giving incentive rides to potential future Naval Aviators and Officers… Aircraft was crashed. Fuselage has damage and is missing cockpit parts. Please look closely at pictures. This could be the start of a T-34 project, a training aid for sheet metal, a flight sim cockpit, or a bailout / procedures trainer.
The project is located in Lavonia, Georgia and is currently available for bidding. Click here to check out the listing on eBay.
