A 1949 Funk has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):
2486 TT, 0-235 Lycoming conversion, hard landing to left gear, close to perfect!… Other mods are to modern Cleveland wheels and brakes, shoulder harnesses, wingtip strobes auto fuel approval, etc. Fabric on the whole airframe was recently (2006) upgraded to Ceconite… Last annual just expired 4/1/2021, so this airplane is fresh, not a sitter… A firm landing has resulted in the left side of the airplane sitting low… It is not clear what was bent, as there is no obvious fuselage wrinkling, nor obvious gear leg deformation. Perhaps there is a problem with the bungee cords. It would not appear that there is any serious deformation, and you can see there is no firewall deformation at all. No damage to the wings or tail… The 0-235 engine has been removed as it was beyond TBO. The exhaust system (undamaged), airbox assembly (undamaged) and engine mount (undamaged) are all included, as are the paperwork to reinstall either a 235- c, c1 or c2c! This aircraft is in very good to excellent condition, with a repairable isolated flaw.
The aircraft is located in Geneseo, NY and is available for US $5,995, although bids are also being accepted. Click here to check out the listing on eBay.

A “fairly hurt, cheap” 2008 Titan T-51D Mustang has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):
The aircraft is seriously hurt, as you can see! But not all is destroyed! The new engine, with 4.5 hours since install, appears 100% undamaged! The tubular engine mount is dented on the right side but intact, and all of the special engine modifications required to increase the conversion from the $8,000 engine only price to the $48,000 conversion price (with the exception of the radiator, possibly damaged but all there) and the damaged propellor, are intact. This aircraft is sold without avionics, but complete from (damaged) propellor to tail otherwise… The main landing gear (heavy duty option) seems to have held up well, as the mounts inside the wings failed, not the trunions, wheels or brakes.
The machine is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is currently available for US $25,950, although bids are also being accepted. Click here to check out the complete listing on eBay, which includes many additional photos and details.

Chris Ward continues his series on Bomber Command Squadron Profiles with his new book 619 Squadron, which is described as a “comprehensively-illustrated, in-depth operational history of this fine unit.”
The squadron was formed at Woodhall Spa in April 1943 under the banner of 5 Group, and it would serve as a standard “squadron of the line”, beginning operations in June 1943, during the most intense weeks of the five-month-long Ruhr offensive. From that point on, the squadron took part in all the main bombing campaigns, including the devastating four-raid series against Hamburg under Operation Gomorrah at the end of July. The squadron then participated in attacks against Italy, Peenemünde and the start of the Berlin offensive in August. Autumn saw the crippling attacks on Hannover, Mannheim and Kassel in September and October, followed by the main Winter Offensive from November 1943 to the end of March 1944, including the sixteen further raids on Berlin… 619 Squadron ended the war with a fine record of service, having made a telling contribution to Bomber Command’s part in the ultimate victory.
The paperback title spans 229 pages and measures 8.5 x 0.52 x 11 inches.
