A “beautiful example” of a 1959 MiG-17F has hit the market. The listing states (in part):
This airplane was built in Poland as a LIM 5 with afterburner. Serial number 1C1423. The aircraft has nice paint and is in original unmodified condition. Sale includes the airframe, VK1F afterburner engine, logbooks and towbar. The aircraft served with the Polish airforce 34th PLM at Gdynia. It was imported to the USA in 1993. It is not currently registered with the FAA and is not certified. The airplane is not currently airworthy. The aircraft had some water damage in the cockpit that would need restoration before preparing for certification. Additionally some elevator repair needed. Engine turns freely but was not started.
